In this brief motivational address, the speaker outlines the team’s upcoming travel itinerary—from Columbus to Canada (Hamilton, Ontario) and then to Minneapolis—emphasizing that all games will be played outdoors in cold weather. The venue choices are presented as a strategic move to increase travel burdens for opponents like El Salvador and Honduras, exposing them to harsh conditions they are less accustomed to, while the home team can better tolerate the cold. The core message centers on the power of narrative framing: by viewing adversity as a fun challenge rather than a hardship, the team can respond with energy and joy. The speaker extends this principle to the audience, urging individuals to reframe personal challenges—whether financial, physical, or relational—to shift their reality and improve outcomes. The talk concludes with a call to action for listeners to identify and mentally reframe an area of their lives.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for Monday. What is it? The 24th? The 24th of January. Greetings from Columbus, Ohio. Not in Phoenix anymore. Winter is coming. Yeah, winter is here. So for the next 9, 10 days, we're gonna go from Columbus to Canada to Minneapolis. All outdoor stadiums, outdoor games. It's gonna be cold. So the theme that, well, we're kind of of doing this for a reason. I mean, our Canada game, uh, we didn't have a choice over, uh, but once they chose, um, Hamilton, Ontario, we decided to put our 2 games in this general vicinity to limit the amount of travel we had to do, but also to increase the travel of El Salvador and Honduras, who have to fly up to play against us in our home games, uh, to increase their travel and to put them in the outdoor cold environment that they are less used to. than our players. So we are embracing the adversity, we are embracing the harsh elements, knowing that we are going to be more comfortable being uncomfortable than our opponents. Can't necessarily say that about Canada, but for our other opponents, that's the case. And so everything that we're doing right now with the team and with the camp is how we frame the message, how we frame the narrative. And that's all we're ever doing, period, in life, is how am I framing the situation that I'm dealing with. If we embrace the weather as a fun challenge, as a fun opportunity, then we can approach it with energy and with joy. If we see, if we frame it as a negative or as something that is too harsh, then our response is going to be different. So we are intentionally putting these guys in a difficult situation, but framing it in a positive way because we believe that we can handle it better. So what part of your life right now needs some reframing? Right. Do you need to reframe something financial in your life or reframe a physical challenge that you're dealing with or relationship that you're dealing with? How can you reframe it mentally that you're not changing the physical condition, you're changing your perspective to it? When you shift, the reality shifts. When you shift your perspective, that reality shifts. So how are you reframing? That's your moment of yes for today, everybody. Have an awesome day.
