In this brief motivational video recorded on Monday, January 5 2026, the speaker delivers a “moment of yes” aimed at kick‑starting the new year. He frames the day as the first real workday for many and urges listeners to simply begin—whether it’s a workout, journaling, playing an instrument, or writing a book. The core message is to take a small, time‑boxed action (5‑10 minutes), repeat it to build momentum, and eventually turn the habit into a repeatable routine that becomes a self‑sustaining system. The speaker shares his own recent actions (a workout, restarting journaling) as examples, emphasizing that perfection isn’t required—just the act of starting.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for Monday, January 5th, 2026. As you can see, back in St. Louis, not Hollister. She stayed. She stayed warm. But back in St. Louis, kind of the first—not really kind of—it is the first official Monday of the new year. Maybe people aren't back at work yet, but I know. For a lot of people, it's kind of that first real day one of kind of being back at it. Which makes me think, whether you made resolutions or your word intention for the year, new habits, new routines, new commitments, I think my moment of yes for today is just start, start, start. Whatever the thing is that you want to do, just start. Start, take that first step, right? Do it for 5 minutes today. Do it for 10 minutes today. I got up and just went and got the workout in just to have it, just to do something. It was not the best workout I've ever had, but just start, right? I restarted my journaling habit routine again and committed to a few minutes to it. And so whatever it is today, build that momentum just And if we can turn that into a repeatable routine for what works for you, whether that's Monday through Friday, whether that's every day, whatever it is, 3 times a week, create the routine so that the routine becomes the system, right? Create the routine, the routine becomes the system, the system then works us. But all you have to do is just start. Give yourself a start today. Open the journal, grab the guitar, start the workout, write, start making notes for the book that you want to write. Just start. Today is all about the start. Get that ball rolling downhill. That's your moment of yes for today. Have an awesome day, everybody. Bye.
