In this daily "Moment of Yes" video, the speaker greets the audience and shares a recent experience teaching a middle‑school Sunday school class. While discussing the topic of love, he challenges the common noun‑based view of love and reframes it as a verb—an action that must be expressed through behavior. He asks listeners to identify what they love and then decide on concrete actions that make that love tangible. The monologue serves as a motivational prompt for the new week and month, urging viewers to turn love into observable deeds.

Good morning, afternoon, everyone. This is your Moment of Yes for Monday, July 31st. Last day of July. Can you believe it? August is here tomorrow. The heat is definitely here, that's for sure. But here we go, man. I won't even say it because it's so cliché. You know what I was going to say. Anyway, your Moment of Yes for today. So, Yesterday I was at camp and I taught Sunday school class. I don't teach a whole lot of Sunday school classes anymore. It's been years. It's been a long time since I was a regular Sunday school teacher. So now I just get to do spot work here and there. So I had middle school boys. Yeah, don't be jealous. So you're on your feet, you are moving, you're dancing. It's a lot of jazz hands and, and, you know, trying to keep them interested while they're tossing rocks into the pond. Yeah. Sunday school. So, on the subject of love, we were talking about love. And so, I got them, hey, like, how have you seen love this week? And so, the idea was I was trying to explain love not as a noun but as a verb. When we think of love, we tend to think of love in the noun form. Person, people, places, things. People, places, things. We— I love, and we tell you the thing that we love, right? It tends to be a person or a thing or a place. But what if we talk about love or express love as a verb, right? Express love in action. So what does your love look like in action, right? To say that you love someone, it would be, well, what do you do to express that love? What is the action of that love? So to love something and to take no action, it's not really love. But to love something in action, Is what love is all about. So my moment of yes for you on Monday as we move into a new week, as we move into a new month, how can you turn love into a verb today? Starting point, think about the things that you love. The next thing to do is how can I turn— what can I do as an action, as a behavior, as an act of love to express that love? To to make the love real instead of ethereal. Yeah? So, that's your moment of yes for today. Get that love in action. Have an awesome day, everybody.
