In this brief motivational segment titled “Moment of Yes: June 22nd,” the speaker greets viewers from New York, mentions an upcoming flight to California, and reflects on a recent Val Kilmer documentary. Using the contrast between the vastness of New York City and the more intimate feel of Queens, the speaker illustrates the practice of expanding and contracting one’s perspective. He explains that when problems feel overwhelming at a street‑level (10‑foot) view, stepping back to a higher (1,000‑ or 10,000‑foot) perspective can reveal connections, pathways, and reassurance. After gaining that broader clarity, one should zoom back in to address the immediate task with peace and focus. The segment ends with a call‑to‑action: viewers are invited to identify a current issue, pause, take a high‑level view, then return to the present moment with clarity—their personal “Moment of Yes.” The tone is conversational, reflective, and encouraging, aiming to inspire mindful perspective shifts.

Good morning everyone. Here is your Moment of Yes for Wednesday, June 22nd. I am in New York today. Fly out to California tomorrow morning, but in the city doing some work today. And I watched the Val documentary on Amazon last night about Val Kilmer. Kind of his life story, his career, dealing with his throat cancer that he has recovered from but is— but really can't talk. Just a really interesting retrospective story. And yeah, it had me thinking. It had me thinking, actually. There's some really great ideas in the documentary. But flying into New York yesterday you're coming in and New York is such an enormous city and it's so big. And then once you're actually on the ground, I'm in Queens right now, and it just feels like Queens just feels like a normal town, right? And it's like, oh, I can handle— like when you pull out expansively, it's so big and massive. But then when you get at street level, it's like, oh, okay, yeah, just Just focus on where you are. This is totally doable. And I just love that idea. And we've talked about it in the past, about being able to expand and contract, expand and contract. And sometimes when you're at the ground level, things seem so overwhelming, right? The problems seem so overwhelming. The moment seems so overwhelming. So many details, so many things to get done. The problems feel too... Too street-level big. And sometimes you need to pull back. And when you pull back and you see it from a bigger perspective, you see that there is a path. And you also see that everything is connected. And you see that everything is okay. And sometimes you need that 1,000-foot view to kind of see that, okay, it's going to be okay. And then, and then we need to zoom back in to the street view. To the 10-foot view and just deal with what is happening to us in the moment, right? Just that one thing in this moment right now. So for you, your moment of yes for today is what, what issue are you dealing with that you need to pause, take a step back, take that 10,000-foot view, assess the situation, and then zoom in to what is happening right now? as you have a sense of peace and clarity about the situation. Yeah, does that work? All right, I'm about to go into Manhattan, so I'm gonna zoom out and then zoom in. That's your moment of yes for today, everybody. Have an awesome day.
