In this short motivational video, the speaker greets viewers and shares a personal anecdote about his teenage son, Shepherd, who was harshly criticizing soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. The speaker uses this story to illustrate how both younger and older generations tend to “drag” or find faults in public figures, revealing underlying insecurities. He admits that he, too, frequently judges and criticizes others, sometimes unconsciously, and acknowledges that this habit feels unhealthy. The core “moment of yes” he offers is a practical reminder: when you notice yourself or others engaging in excessive criticism, pause, reflect, and consciously release the negative judgments. By letting go of this mental “garbage,” you can focus on bringing light, love, and healing to those around you. The speaker also briefly mentions his upcoming travel from northern Michigan to Kansas City, framing the message as a daily intention for the audience.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for Monday, June 28th, the last week of June. Crazy. I've now transitioned up to northern Michigan for the next week before joining the team in Kansas City next week. So, your moment of yes for this morning, funny enough, this morning before I left to go into town, Uh, Shepherd, my youngest, 13-year-old, almost 14, big soccer fan. He was, um, he was dragging Cristiano Ronaldo, right, for like, you know, some stat that they came up with for the Euros, you know, uh, with him and the Euros, and was just like, you know, dragging arguably one of the greatest players of all time. And I just kind of found it funny, frustrating at the same time. I'm like, dude, why are you dragging Cristiano Ronaldo. You don't have to like him, but to drag his ability is super interesting. Again, it's kind of a thing to try to find the faults with celebrities and athletes and things like that. I would say, oh, that's a this generation thing, but they just have more access to dragging people than we did, if you're my age or older. The reality is, yeah, I catch myself. Either with others or at least internally dragging others, condemning, criticizing, judging. We do this. I say we. I'll just own it. I do this all the time. Most of the time I'm conscious of it. Sometimes I'm not. Regardless, it never feels good and it's never healthy. We know that it's just revealing some of our own insecurities and things like that. As much as I get discouraged, like, dude, Shepherd, what are you doing dragging Cristiano Ronaldo? I have that inside of me as well. The moment of yes today is just about noticing that. Notice as you go through your day when you find yourself overly criticizing or judging or always just talking garbage about someone else. Can you pause? Do some self-reflection and then just maybe just release that. Just as you don't want people thinking negatively about you, you can release that about them and go about your day again focusing on how can I bring light and love and healing to those around me. The best way to do that would be to let go of some of the garbage we're carrying out about them. That's your moment of yes for today. Stop dragging, start carrying. How about that? Have a great day, everybody.
