In this brief motivational video, the speaker delivers a "moment of yes" for March 30, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the habits and routines that have previously led to success. He recounts coaching experiences where clients abandon effective practices—like journaling or meditation—once they achieve new success, only to see performance dip. He illustrates the principle with a Kobe Bryant anecdote, where Kobe spent an hour on basic drills, explaining that mastery comes from never outgrowing the fundamentals that work. The speaker urges listeners to identify the habits that have helped them, and to have the discipline and self‑love to keep doing them consistently. The message concludes with an encouragement to have an awesome day.

Good morning, everyone. Here's your moment of yes from Monday, March 30th. Your moment of yes for today is, if it works, keep doing it, but make sure it works. So, a number of coaching calls the last few weeks where I'm talking to someone who, they've had some success and then they realize that with this new success, they have tricked themselves like we do into thinking that they don't have to do the things that they were doing before because now they're successful. So they start making changes or they do away with certain things. And when I ask them, well, what has changed? You know, if things are not going as well right now, I'm like, well, what has changed? Usually it ends up like, well, you know what, I haven't been doing, you know, the journaling like I usually was, or I'm not doing the meditation, or I'm not whatever some of these habits and routines were. And I was like, Interesting. And when you were having a ton of success, what were you doing? They're like, well, I was doing this and I was doing this and I was doing this, right? I'm a world-class coach, y'all. I'm a world-class coach. I ask tough questions. Usually it reveals that, oh, I was doing this and I started doing well and then I thought I don't have to do it anymore. No. It works, but you got to keep doing it, right? There's the story about Kobe Bryant, a coach, a young coach asking if he could watch Kobe train. And the coach came to his practice and for the first hour Kobe did the most basic elementary basketball drills that anyone has ever done. And this coach was like, Kobe, I have to say, like you spent an hour doing the most basic basketball drills that I would that I would teach a starting basketball player why? And Kobe was like, why do you think I'm as good as I am? Right? We never outgrow the things that work. And so, I know I do it myself. The best times that I've had sort of professionally and personally is when I have a normal journal routine. And then for whatever reason, I'll get away from it. I won't feel as good. And I'll be like, oh yeah, I should probably do that journaling. And so for you, what works? What do you know that works for you? And then it's just a question of, do you have the discipline and love for yourself to keep doing it? That's your moment of yes for today. Have an awesome day, everybody.
