In this brief motivational video, the speaker shares a recent travel experience involving multiple flights from Belfast to London, London to Newark, and Newark to Palm Beach. Despite logistical challenges—checking baggage, customs, and tight layovers—the airline successfully enabled all passengers to make their connections. The speaker uses this anecdote as a metaphor for daily life, urging viewers to consciously make personal connections with family, coworkers, and strangers. He emphasizes that distractions can cause us to miss these opportunities, but when we give others our full presence, attention, compassion, and empathy, the resulting interactions are harmonious and impactful. The talk concludes with a call to action: choose “yes” today by actively creating meaningful connections.

Good morning everyone. Here is your Moment of Yes for Wednesday, March 30th. Back in the States, back home. You can see the palm tree up there. It's a good sign that I'm no longer in Northern Ireland. My goal was to do my videos yesterday, but it was a 15-hour day of flights and 3 different flights, so it was a long day. Here we go, back on schedule. We'll go a Moment of Yes 2. What's up, man? Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday this week. So here we are. So your moment of yes for today is connections, making a connection. So yesterday was all about, are we going to make our connections from Belfast to London, London to Newark, Newark to Palm Beach? And from Belfast to London, it didn't look like anyone was going to make their connections because we had to check our baggage in Ireland. And then in London, we were going to have to pick our bags up, recheck them, get through customs, immigration, all this in under an hour. So everyone was like, oh man, we're just not going to make our connection. But lo and behold, the airline came through and everyone made their connections, which just got me thinking about this idea, especially when we're traveling. We're like, oh hey, am I going to make my connection? Your moment of yes for today is, are you going to make your connections today or are you going to miss them? There is an opportunity every day to make dozens and dozens of connections. With the people in your family, the people that you work with, the people that you come across with. But are you so distracted with other things that are going on in your head that you miss your connection? And when you miss your connection, it's not the end of the world. We've all missed connections before. But when we make connections, we know how, how harmonious and powerful and impactful that is when we make our connections. So today, Can we focus on making connections, making connections with the people that we come into contact with, giving them our full presence, giving them our full attention and compassion and empathy, and really making sure we make those connections? That's your moment of yes for today, everyone. Have an awesome day.
