In this brief motivational talk, the speaker reflects on a recurring theme from recent coaching sessions: the tendency to get trapped in a "doing" mindset. Citing Deepak Chopra’s quote that humans are "beings, not human doings," the speaker explains that constantly trying to figure things out through more effort—research, prayer, journaling—leads to frustration and a lack of fulfillment. Instead, they advocate shifting into a "being" state: quieting the mind, connecting with an inner divine presence or teacher, and allowing that presence to reveal the next single, clear action. The talk concludes with a practical "moment of yes": when you notice the urge to "figure it out," pause, reset, return to a being space, and let the inner guide suggest the next step, acting with calm and clarity.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your Moment of Yes for Wednesday, March 3rd. Hopefully everyone is having a great day as the day begins. So I've had a couple of coaching meetings this week, and it's interesting to work with people who are kind of spread out, you know, all over the country, if not all over the world, and to see sort of similar reemerging themes. I guess it shouldn't be that surprising because We all kind of deal with the same stuff and a lot of the things that we get stuck with kind of comes back to a few of the same ideas. But with each of the coaching calls this week, an idea that kind of kept coming up with each call was this idea of being over doing, right? The great Deepak Chopra quote, we're human beings, not human doings. We need to spend less time doing and more time being. Which is a great quote, but what does that actually mean? And so there's this temptation that when we're stuck and we need to work on it, right? We need to figure it out. So I just need to focus more. I need to concentrate more. I need to research more. I need to pray more. If I prayed more, it would come. Or I need to journal more. Or I need to, I need to do something more. So we get into this doing mindset again. And so doing is fine, doing's great. A lot of accomplishment comes with doing, but what we don't find in doing is we don't find that fulfillment, that peace, and that clarity that we're looking for. We actually— it's the clarity that allows us to do more. So instead, we need to embrace the being, being with ourselves, being with our thoughts, being with our emotions, not so that we can become them, So that we can notice them, process them, pull any roots that they're attached to, and then that inspires us of what we need to do. And so this idea of, I need to figure it out, right? I hear people tell me that. I tell that to myself all the time. I just need to figure this out. I need to figure this out, which puts us into a more doing mindset, an intellectual mindset, instead of this idea, no, I don't need to figure it out. I need to let it figure me out. And what is the it we are letting figure us out? That's that presence. That's our divine teacher, your inner teacher, your divine consciousness, not your human consciousness, not your human intellectual being or doer. It is that presence inside of you that when you get quiet and you listen to it, opens up. Clarity of what to do next. And it's only what to do next, not the next 10 dos, just what to do next, and to do it with peace and clarity and a sense of, of calm to it, even if it's a tough decision or a touch of tough choice. So your moment of yes for today is when you notice yourself being in a I just need to figure this out doing mindset, pause Hit your human reset, go back into a being space, and see if you can let it figure you out. That's your moment of yes for today, everybody. Have an awesome day.
