In this brief morning monologue, the speaker delivers a daily "moment of yes" aimed at motivating listeners to tackle large problems by shrinking them into manageable, personal actions. He references Abby Wambach’s commencement address, which advises "make the big world a small world," and illustrates the concept with a scene from the film Man of Steel where young Clark Kent’s mother tells him to "make it small." The speaker urges the audience to identify their own "small world"—the immediate environment and behaviors they can influence—and to take steps just outside their comfort zone that align with their passions. The overall message is that change starts locally, and by focusing on what we can control, we can gradually impact larger systems. The talk ends with an upbeat encouragement to have an awesome day and a promise to return the next morning.

Good morning, everyone. Here's your moment of yes for Thursday morning instead of Wednesday. Shepherd and I flew to St. Louis yesterday. We had a 5:45 flight out of Fort Lauderdale. The day got away from me, so you're getting the Wednesday here on Thursday. Tomorrow we'll be back on schedule. Boom! So your moment of yes for today. On Monday, I referenced the Abby Wambach commencement address. The second idea that really stood out to me, which I love, And this is an idea that, that I've been doing a lot in my, my coaching sessions, is she talks about if you want to change something, right, you start to think about change and how can I make a difference and how can I be an advocate, and problems start to feel too big, right? The, the bigness of them can make us feel like we can't do anything. And she says, right, make the big problem small, right? Make the big world a small world. How can we make the big world a small world? So that simplifies things. That allows us to look at what is our behavior, what's going on in our backyard, what can I do that's maybe a step or two outside of our comfort zone, but it's something that we believe in, we're passionate about, and we want to make a difference. But trying to change the world, too big, but making the big world a small world is something that we can do. And then continue just impacting your small world. So what does your small world look like? Right? There's a great video from the Man of Steel movie, young Clark Kent, right? He says, Mom, the world is too big. And she says, well, make it small. Right? We make it small by focusing on what we can do, what action and behavior we can take, not worrying about other people's actions and behaviors. But what we can do. So how today can you make your big world a small world? That's your moment of yes. Have an awesome day, everybody. I'll see you tomorrow morning.
