In this solo monologue for the "Moment of Yes" series, the host shares his raw emotional reaction to learning about a tragic elementary school shooting in Texas, describing feelings of anger, sadness, helplessness, and hopelessness. He interrogates the purpose of his show and the audience’s engagement, questioning why they watch and what they can do. The speaker shifts from broader societal activism to the importance of daily, intentional actions—each interaction, conversation, and personal connection—as a way to foster belonging, love, and purpose. He frames this as a call to bring more compassion and connection into everyday life, especially as he travels, urging listeners to consider both the big picture of their life’s impact and the small picture of day‑to‑day interactions.
