In this informal motivational video, the speaker shares a recent breakfast conversation with his friend Evan that led to an observation of a semi‑truck skillfully backing into a tight alley. He uses this scene as a metaphor to highlight how ordinary people often perform impressive, highly practiced tasks that go unnoticed. Reflecting on his own limited abilities—primarily talking and an admitted need to shave—he encourages viewers to consciously shift their focus and appreciate the diverse talents people display in everyday settings, from construction workers to floral designers. The talk concludes with a call to action: make it a habit to notice and value the skills others bring to the table.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for Monday, December 14th. Happy Monday, everybody. Hopefully you are off— try to move the shadow. Hope you guys are off, uh, having a good week. I'm gonna find an angle here. All right, I clearly need to shave. I apologize. All right, your moment of yes for today is— so I just finished, uh, kind of my weekly breakfast, which with my good man Evan, and he and I were catching up, and it's always an inspiring conversation. And he's sharing what he's reading, I'm sharing what I'm reading, new inspiration, all that good stuff. And then he's talking mid-sentence and he goes, hold on a second, look at that! And, uh, uh, there's this semi-truck that is, uh, backing up and, uh, angling the truck and driving it backwards down this super tight alley with a wall on one side, cars on the other, and it's like this phenomenal sight to see. And you're like, that's some next-level skill right there. And it just got me thinking about, um, like appreciating, uh, like kind of like everyday amazing, like, ability. Um, clearly this guy, this truck driver, has probably logged hundreds if not thousands of hours. And so— You know, having to do that for the first time was probably terrifying. Doing it now for the 100th time, he probably does it like no big deal. And so it just got me realizing, like, every day we see normal people doing amazing things, which they aren't necessarily amazing in the, like, let's put it on TV sense. But it's total evidence of just appreciating Really, really cool ability and acts. And so I'm like, oh, I mean, I can go through the day sort of appreciating the talents and abilities of others in very, like, everyday walks of life. And so I'm like, that's kind of a cool thing to do, to be— to look for that, to look for, you know, the talent at a construction site, to look for— You know, just the talent of someone who has like designed like some cool festive bed of flowers. So there's so much, and I look at it from the standpoint of like, there's very little in the world that I feel like I know how to do outside of being able to talk. Me talk okay. Yeah. And so it's easy to appreciate that talent and ability in others. Cool. Clearly, I don't know how to shave. So that's your moment of yes today, guys. Let's go out there and just switching our gaze to appreciating others, right? That's what it's all about. Switching our gaze to appreciate what what others bring to the table, what others are able to do. So that's your moment of yes for today. Have an awesome day, everybody.
