In this brief motivational segment titled “Moment of Yes” for Wednesday, November 9, the speaker greets the audience and previews the upcoming World Cup roster announcement at 5 p.m. ET. He then shifts focus to the theme of stillness, drawing on Ryan Holiday’s book Stillness Is the Key and its modern Stoic perspective, which emphasizes neutral thinking, acceptance of reality, and directing one’s power toward controllable responses. The speaker references a hurricane approaching Florida (specifically Jupiter) and sends protective thoughts to listeners named Jesse and Frank, using the storm as a metaphor for external chaos surrounding stillness. He recounts a recent conversation with a professional player, advising the player to create quiet moments for self‑reflection and to listen to inner wisdom. The core call‑to‑action invites listeners to intentionally cultivate stillness that day—whether through a brief pause, a short walk, or any simple habit—framing this as their personal “Moment of Yes.” The tone is conversational, supportive, and encouraging, with a sentiment of optimism and empathy.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your Moment of Yes for Wednesday, November 9th, 2 days away from heading to Qatar. Here we go. World Cup roster announcement today, 5:00 PM Eastern time, for those of you who wanna tune in and see who's gonna be on the plane representing the US. Should be exciting. Your Moment of Yes for today is about stillness. I'm reading Ryan Holiday's most recent book, Stillness Is the Key. Big fan of his books. His ideas is he sort of brings Stoicism back into the modern day with modern-day examples. Stoicism very much falls in line with neutral thinking, with yes, and. It's about sort of accepting what your current situation is, accepting the current reality, and then choosing, focusing your power into your response where you actually have influence. And so thinking about that recently, As a hurricane is coming towards Florida right now, actually kind of coming directly at Jupiter. So Jesse, I know you're down there, sending you and your family obviously a lot of love and a lot of protection. Frank, I know you've been down there for this, the premiere that got canceled as a result of the storm. Just sending safety to all you. And just this idea of stillness, obviously in the center of that storm. Is stillness. Because again, you can have so much crazy stuff going on around you. So what is it that gives you that power to choose and be effective? It's finding that stillness. I was meeting with a professional player yesterday and who's got just a lot of big decisions that he's thinking about. And as he's asking for advice, I said, well, I mean, so I just did some listening. I said, well, here's a few questions to ask, but I said, see if you can find some moments just to be still, just to be quiet and sit with these questions and listen and listen to yourself and see what comes up. But it's the stillness that allows that space to see the wisdom, the inner wisdom and the inner inspiration, the ability to rise to the surface. And guide us. But we need to build in time, we need to build in routines, we need to build in habits to develop that stillness. So what do you need to do today to find some stillness? Even if it's 30 seconds, 60 seconds, a 10-minute walk outside, what is it that you can develop your stillness today? That's your moment of yes. Have an awesome day, everybody.
