In this short YouTube monologue recorded on Monday, November 21st, the speaker delivers a "moment of yes" to kick off the week. He references the opening match of the World Cup (Wales vs England) and other games like England‑Iran to set a timely backdrop. The core message contrasts focusing on external power—trying to control the outside world—with seeking internal peace by exercising an internal locus of control. He argues that expending energy on external outcomes (e.g., the result of a soccer match) undermines personal tranquility, whereas concentrating on how one responds to situations cultivates peace. The speaker encourages listeners to choose peace for the week ahead, especially as they navigate a holiday period and World Cup excitement, and ends with a positive wish for the day.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for Monday, November 21st. Yes, I will remember this day. This is day 1, match 1 of the World Cup. We play Wales tonight. Well, really tonight for us, 10 PM for us, uh, depending on where you are, 2 o'clock, 1 o'clock, uh, where you are back in the States. Um, so super excited. We've, we've pretty much gone through all the pregame stuff here, uh, today. Now it's just kind of off time until we leave for the stadium tonight. A couple of games coming up, so that'll be exciting to watch those other games, including England-Iran. So super excited. So here we go. Wow, you think I would forget the moment of yes on a day like today? You're right, but I didn't. So here we go. Moment of yes. So there's this great idea that if you try to control the external environment, that's about power. If you control your internal environment, that's about peace. So what are you interested in? Do you want peace or do you want power? Maybe you want a little bit of both, but if you spend all your energy focusing on the external and trying to achieve or maintain that power, it's going to be hard to have internal peace. But when you focus on the stuff that you can control, which is your internal locus of control, how you respond to every situation, that's where you will find peace. So as you start Monday, as you head into a week, a holiday week with, you know, probably family at the end of it, Or you head into a World Cup week with England at the end of it. External is about power. Internal is about peace. I'm going to seek peace because I surely can't control what's going to happen on the field. That's your moment of yes for today, everybody. Have an awesome day.
