In this brief inspirational monologue, the speaker welcomes listeners to a "moment of yes" on Monday, November 25th, framing Thanksgiving week as a favorite, reflective time when family gathers and the holiday season begins. He references Richard Rohr’s meditation book Yes And, highlighting the central insight that love is a conscious choice rather than merely a feeling. From a Christian spiritual perspective, love is expressed through actions—supporting, helping, and caring for others—regardless of emotional state. The speaker ties this concept to the gratitude inherent in Thanksgiving and to "Rack Friday," a day he describes as focused on loving and supporting others. He concludes by encouraging listeners to adopt love as a deliberate choice throughout the week.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for Monday, November 25th. It is Thanksgiving week here in the US. This is, this is one of my favorite weeks of the year, especially when I'm home all week, not traveling. I love kind of the shortened week feel that it has. Then all the kids are home. You know, you have Thanksgiving on Thursday. And then of course we celebrate, um, Rack Friday on Friday and then you have kind of a full weekend and it feels like that total transition into the holidays. And so yeah, there seems, it's, I don't know, it's, it's, it's one of my favorite weeks. Um, so I was reading Richard Rohr, um, his, his, he's got a meditations book called Yes And, guess kind of had to read it. Uh, he was sharing the idea today that, uh, That love, love is a choice, not a feeling. And I had never heard or thought about love in that regard before, that love is actually a choice, not a feeling. Now, of course, we all feel love and have felt loved, and it's easy to only love someone if you feel their love. But, you know, if you look at it from a spiritual, from a Christian perspective, that love is a choice. It's How you treat people, what you do, not based on how you feel about them, but based on the opportunity that you have to help someone or support someone. So therefore, love is a choice. Love doesn't have to be just a feeling. So thinking about that deeply this week, and I think it's such a great week, kind of Thanksgiving week, to, you know, it's such a gratitude holiday to fall into that love as a choice. To express gratitude all week. Rack Friday is all about loving others and supporting others and taking care of others. And so, love is a choice. That's the message I'm taking into this week. That's your moment of yes. See you all in a few days.
