In this brief motivational segment recorded on a rainy November 4th in St. Louis, the speaker introduces the day’s “moment of yes,” reflecting on the welcome rain after a dry fall. He shares a story about a friend who participates in “Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Friday,” a tradition of sending spontaneous kindness texts to various people. The speaker highlights how this simple, recurring act creates a ripple effect, likening it to coaching work that focuses on tiny behavioral adjustments that compound into significant personal growth over time. He closes by urging listeners to choose one small act of kindness—whether for another person or themselves—that can generate a lasting positive impact.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for Monday, November 4th. As you can see, super rainy day here in St. Louis. We need it. It's been a super dry fall, so the, uh, the rain is needed. All right, your moment of yes for today, November 4th. I got an email from a friend, um, who, uh, knows about our RAK Friday, our Random Acts of Kindness Friday. That we always do the Friday after Thanksgiving. So, a friend of his was introduced to Wreck Friday through us a few years ago. And so, what he started doing on Wreck Friday is he would send random acts of kindness texts to different people. Maybe someone he just met, maybe a friend, maybe a family member. And, it's become such a big thing for him that he has continued doing it. now for many years, many, many years after first doing it. So, his thing is random acts of kindness texts. And so, just thinking about the ripple effect, thinking about the simplicity of doing something like that, just that little, little bit of random act of kindness even through a text can be transformational. I was working with a coaching client this week and just trying to help her shift a few of her behaviors. Again, making small changes that add up to large shifts over time. And when I think of random acts of kindness texts, it's kind of similar. It takes very little time to do it, but the message that is received on the other end can be huge. And when you do that over time, you just think about The different shifts in relationships and the impact that that's having over time. So, that's it. There's your moment of yes for today. What little act of kindness can you do today either for someone else or for yourself that has a big impact over time? Yeah, it's simple. Just do it. That's your moment of yes for today. Have an awesome day, everybody. Bye.
