In this brief motivational segment, the speaker greets the audience, welcomes a new member named Lisa, and frames the day’s “moment of yes” around gratitude and resilience. He reflects on a hectic week marked by travel, storms in Florida, and a return to performing with colleagues Frank and Jesse. Emphasizing adaptability, he shares a mental‑coaching principle: when not feeling 100 %, aim to deliver your best “B‑game” rather than striving for perfection. The talk encourages focusing on what can be done today, maintaining a positive outlook, and expecting improvement, concluding with a wish for an awesome day.

Good morning, everyone. Here's your moment of yes for Monday, October 14th. Want to say hi to Lisa, new member of the moment of yes. So happy to have you here. And your moment of yes for today is it's Monday, everyone. What a great time to start with gratitude. Start your week with gratitude. Not Not feeling great, a little bit under the weather. Just got back from being gone all week last week, got back yesterday, uh, taking off today for a couple more days. So, um, trying to, uh, rally myself and have enough energy to travel, but also, uh, expressing gratitude for what was, um, a busy week last week, a lot of change and uncertainty. With the storms going on in Florida. Grateful to be back to see Frank and Jesse, to perform with them this weekend. Grateful that for the storm doing what it did, I think it moved through the area as quickly as possible. So grateful for that. And just overall, just the grateful to, to be able just to be adaptable. Grateful for resilience. And I think that's what I'm focusing on today. When I was just talking to a player about this the other day, he said, who wasn't at 100% going into a game, and I was sharing with him what another mental coach had shared with me at one point, which is, you know, so often if we're not feeling 100%, we don't think that we can go out and perform well or go through our day and have a good day. And he's like, listen, so just let go of trying to be at 100%. So if you're at 80%, Or if it's your B-game, have the best B-game that you can have today, or be the best 80% you can be today. And just let that unnecessary pressure of trying to be better than you can be today go and focus on what you can do today. And so grateful for the opportunity to be resilient, uh, and I'm going to have the best day I can have based on how I'm feeling. And also focusing on, um, expecting to feel better. better and keeping my eyes on that target instead of focusing on how well I don't feel. So there you have it. That's your moment of yes for today. Have an awesome day, everybody.
