In this short motivational video, the speaker opens with a light‑hearted greeting before recounting two recent violent incidents near his home—a man shot and killed on a street and a school shooting that claimed three lives. He reflects on the emotional weight of such events and asks where thoughts, emotions, and responses go when confronted with tragedy. He then shares a core principle he teaches to corporate groups: "presence is just a moment away." By repeatedly reminding himself that peace, presence, and safety are always a moment ahead, he encourages grounding, breathing, and routine as tools to stay centered amid stress and grief. The talk concludes with gratitude, love, and a wish for an awesome day.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for Wednesday, October 26th. Boo! Did I scare you? Um, Halloween week, Wednesday. Uh, sadly, um, yeah, this, this past couple of days, I mean, we had, um, when was that? Monday night, Tuesday? Yeah, Monday night, um, on my way back into the, the building about a block away, someone had been kind of— a man had been shot multiple times and killed, kind of sadly, sort of in what looks like a street violence type situation. And then the very next morning, yesterday morning, Halston and I got back from walking the dog around 9 o'clock and heard every siren in the city zipping down. However, was that 2 days ago? Whenever it was, zipping down to a school shooting about a mile down the road from us. Um, I think 3 people killed. And just like, ugh, like, like, when does it stop? Endless. And just, you know, ugh. Exactly. Um, and so, you know, it's like, where do we go? Where do you go when you're confronted with the terrible stuff. Like, where does your thought go? Where do your emotions go? Where does your response go? Um, which again, you know, doing the work that I do and, and, and doing the work that, um, I know leads to, uh, healthier, happier results, it's always about, you know, where do we go during these situations? How do we respond? And, you know, the idea I've been, I've been sharing a lot recently corporate groups is that, you know, presence is just a moment away. Now, and then now, and then now, and then now. And so when I'm noticing that I'm flustered now, well then peace and presence is just the next moment away. And if I don't find it there, it's just the next moment away. And I think our ability, you know, in the midst of tragedy, of hecticness, of stress, of all this stuff, To be able to ground ourselves and to take a breath and say, you know, peace is a moment away, presence is a moment away, you know, safety is a moment away. And so, and that's the truth, right? Yes, it's, you know, whatever is going on, it's this moment right here where we have impact. And so, the tragedy is a reminder, But, you know, hopefully the discipline and the routine is something that we're cultivating on a day-to-day basis. So there you have it, everybody. You know, sending you love and gratitude, and it's always a moment away. Have an awesome day, everybody. Bye.
