In this short, conversational video titled “Moment of Yes” for Monday, October 27th, the speaker shares a personal update from a recent trip to Northern Michigan, describing the striking fall foliage and ongoing back pain. Using the seasonal change of leaves as a metaphor for personal transformation, the speaker reflects on the uncomfortable “goo” phase that often accompanies growth. He encourages viewers to recognize that, even amid personal discomfort, beauty and transformation can coexist. The core takeaway is a simple daily prompt: when you feel stuck in a painful or uncomfortable phase, consciously look for the surrounding beauty and acknowledge both the discomfort and the positive change happening around you.

Hey, good morning everyone. Here's your Moment of Yes for Monday, October 27th. Last week of October, Halloween coming up this week. November is just a few days away. Crazy. Hollister and I have been up in Northern Michigan for the last 4 days or so. We're heading back to St. Louis today. First time actually doing Northern Michigan fall, which is crazy because the beauty is stunning. So Yeah, so it's been great. I know last week I talked about kind of like my back pain. Bad news is it hasn't gotten much better. And so, so adjusting to that. But it got me thinking, you know, I know in the past I've talked about sort of that butterfly-like caterpillar to butterfly transition, transformation, the goo, that goo phase. The goo can be uncomfortable. during that transformation. And today, or this week, as we've been up here, I've been thinking about the beauty of transformation. You know, you look at the autumn and you look at the colors change from— actually, just to give you a little sample, like over my shoulder here, if you can see in the distance on the other side of the lake, just that palette of colors of— I mean, it's just, it's crazy, crazy beautiful. And it's It's beautiful and it's leaves that are transforming, right? They're transforming from being alive and vibrant to, you know, to ending this season. And it's like a day-by-day changing picture of transformation and it's beautiful. And so I've been kind of stuck in the goo of the pain or the discomfort of my back and knowing that You know, sometimes, you know, transformation can be uncomfortable, but I've also been surrounded by transformation that is beautiful. And I think both can be true. There can be discomfort and there can be beauty at the same time. So your moment of yes for today is to notice, especially when we're in transformation, especially when we're noticing the discomfort of the goo, can we find the beauty that's happening around us as well? So there you have it. That's your moment of yes for today. Have an awesome week, everyone.
