In this brief motivational monologue, the speaker delivers a daily "Moment of Yes" for Wednesday, October 9. He sends love and support to people in Florida as Hurricane Milton approaches, shares his own travel situation (currently in Dallas after a stop in Phoenix, with plans to possibly go to Florida), and describes working with a soccer team that has been mathematically eliminated from playoffs. Using these current events as a backdrop, he reflects on the broader theme of responding to reality rather than clinging to expectations. He emphasizes the importance of quickly adapting, accepting, and moving forward when faced with unexpected setbacks—whether a natural disaster, a work project falling through, or personal inconveniences—while still doing the best one can. The talk ends with a repeated affirmation of "yes" to embracing the present circumstances.

Hey, good morning everyone. Here's your Moment of Yes for Wednesday, uh, Wednesday, October 9th. Um, sending lots of love to everyone down in Florida. Um, getting ready for obviously Milton that is coming, that looks like coming ashore here later tonight. Um, I'm in Dallas right now, was just in Phoenix yesterday, was supposed to head to Florida this weekend. Not sure if that's happening yet. Frank or Jesse, we probably need to decide. Um, But, in Dallas right now, working with the soccer team for a couple of days. They've got one game left about a week from now, mathematically eliminated, and so it's a, you know, it's a different vibe in the building right now. I was thinking about that, thinking about the storm that's coming ashore in Florida, and just the idea of, again, of sort of dealing with Dealing with what is instead of getting stuck on what we would like to or should be happening. And so it doesn't really seem right in any way that a storm like this is coming back to an area that was just decimated. But at the same time, it is, right? It is coming. And so, so, so how do we respond to it? How do we deal with it? How do we continue to— Prepare for something, but also take, you know, while we're saying this isn't right, we continue to do whatever we can to make the best of the situation. Obviously, that puts a season with no playoffs into perspective when you compare it to a storm like that. But this is what we're doing sort of on a day-to-day basis, whether a work project falls through, or Or an unexpected, you know, car situation happens. It's how quickly do we adapt to it, accept it, and then move forward the best as we can. So again, sending love to everyone down in Florida. And for each of us today, how can we respond to what is happening instead of what we thought was going to happen? Yes, and, yes, and, yes, and. Yes, and.
