In this brief YouTube monologue titled “Moment of Yes: September 11th,” the speaker offers a reflective reminder to pause, practice gratitude, and focus on what truly matters, especially on the anniversary of September 11. He shares personal context—having just moved into a new home, preparing to travel to Denver and Dallas, and considering a visit to St. Louis University’s soccer team—yet chooses to prioritize a simple walk with his dog, Hollister, over cramming more tasks into the day. The speaker ties the day’s historical weight to a broader lesson: loss and tragedy can prompt perspective, encouraging listeners to let go of less‑important obligations, be present, compassionate, and patient. He concludes with a call to take a break, pause, and lean into what matters.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your Moment of Yes for Monday, September 11th. That's right, it is September 11th. Hard to say that day with obviously not a lot of sort of memories that rush back to that day as well. So whatever you're doing today, hopefully you're able to slow down a little bit, to hit pause on everything that's going on and just have a sense of perspective. Appreciation, focusing on the things that are really most important in your life and letting the rest of the stuff go. Even, even today, we spent the weekend kind of getting moved into our new place here. Actually, this is me in the new place, which we're excited about. But I leave out of town today to the airport in a little bit to go to Denver and then Dallas. And I was squeezing in, going and dropping something off this morning, and I was going to try to squeeze getting over to St. Louis University to see the soccer team this morning before, before being gone for a few days. But I realized the most important thing to do today was just to slow down, you know, go for a walk with Hollister and the dog, sit down, talk a little bit, catch up a little bit. And instead of just trying to cram one more thing into my day, to stop and to pause and just again focus on the things that are most important in our lives. We will never you know, regret, cutting something that was less important to slowing down and just being present and being grateful, being compassionate, being patient. And I think today is really a day that reminds us to do that, right? Wherever there's loss and tragedy, there's the opportunity for perspective. And so as I go throughout my day, just taking those little pauses, Throughout the day to remember what is most important, anything that I can let go of and not try to cram in today. It's always a good reminder. And obviously we can remind ourselves that every day as well. So, so there you have it. Take a break today. Think back to pausing, perspective, focusing on the things that are most important, and then lean into that today. All right guys, that's your Moment of Yes for today. Have an awesome day.
