In this brief motivational video, the speaker delivers a "Moment of Yes" message encouraging viewers to accept imperfect circumstances and still give their best effort. He shares an anecdote about coaching an athlete who lacked confidence because he missed a week of training, using it to illustrate that one cannot change past events or current feelings, but can choose how to work with them. The speaker emphasizes focusing on the present, adapting to reality, and performing at the highest possible level given current conditions. He extends this principle to life in general, noting that as we age responsibilities increase and perfection is rare. The talk concludes with a call to action: identify what you can do today with what you have, and go out and "crush it."

Good morning, everyone. Here's your Moment of Yes for Monday, September 12th. Here we are on the roof deck, a little chilly, right? But a beautiful day. So your Moment of Yes for today is just this idea of maybe not feeling your best or not having everything that you want or need in order and still being able to kind of adapt and do the best you can with what you have. You know, I was working with an athlete this week and he was going into a game and he's like, Travis, he goes, I don't have a lot of confidence today. He goes, because I wasn't able to train this week. And as a result, I don't feel like I have a lot of confidence going into the game. And so what we talked about was this idea of like, hey, like you just, you can't change it, right? You can't change how the week went, how you feel, you know, how much you were able to train, how healthy you feel. All you can really do is deal with sort of the best of how you're feeling today. And instead of arguing with that reality, instead of wishing it— of course we're going to wish like, oh, I wish I had more this, or I wish I felt better, or what— but it's like, well, what— how can I work with what I actually have and perform at the highest level I can based on how I'm feeling? And that's the best we can do, period. And again, I was telling him as an athlete, like, the higher the level you get at, you're rarely ever going to feel perfect. Right? It's whether it's nicks or little injuries or just the demands of the game. And life does the same thing to us, right? Like, the older we get, seems like the more we have on our plate, and things are never quite ideal. So we're always doing the best with what we can in the moment. And it's the in-the-moment piece that's the important piece. So what do you need to do today just to do the best you can with what you have today in the moment. There you have it. Go out there and crush it. That's your moment of yes for today. Have an awesome day, everybody.
