In this brief motivational video, the speaker welcomes viewers to the “Moment of Yes” for Tuesday, September 2, marking the transition from summer to fall. He reflects on the seasonal shift, encourages a mental reset for the new month, and asks listeners to consider what they carried from August and what they want to focus on in September. The core of the message is an analogy about crabs in a pot: a single crab can escape on its own, but a group of crabs hinders each other’s escape. This illustrates the difference between a “me‑first” versus a “we‑first” mentality. The speaker urges the audience to adopt a service‑oriented, collaborative mindset—helping and lifting others up—so that everyone can succeed. He ends with a call to action to identify ways to support those around us and to start the month with a collective, positive attitude.

Hey everyone, here is your Moment of Yes for Tuesday, September 2nd. I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. New month, not only a new month, kind of the start of a new season. Fall is upon us. P.S.L., pumpkin spice back in the coffee shops. And I know that this month is definitely kind of a transitions month as we transition sort of from summer to fall. For their, you know, kids go back to school, seasons change, and here we are, we're in September. How are things going? It's a good time to reset mentally what you were focused on in August, what you've been focused on in the year. What does September feel like for you? What's a good focus for you for September? What's the biggest thing you take from August, and what is the thing that you're focusing on in September? I saw— I read this kind of cool analogy this week. It was talking about crabs. You put a crab in a pot and you put it in there by itself, it is going to try to climb out of the pot. And unless the sides are too high, it will be able to climb out of the pot on its own. If you put multiple crabs in a pot, they will not be able to get out. Because as soon as one is climbing up, the others will pull it down. Yes, yes. So I got thinking about that. I was like, well, I mean, if our intent is me first and everyone has a me-first mentality, then yes, what we're constantly doing is pulling each other down instead of lifting each other up. Clearly, if one crab on its own can get out of the pot, If we had a how can I help mentality, what can I do to serve the others around me, we could just all try to push the other crabs out of the pot and then the last one left, he can get out on his own. They have the ability. So, what mentality are you catching yourself in this week? A me first or a we first mentality? Right, that's a good way to start the month. Let's look around. What can we do to help those around us? What can we do to boost someone up? And if we have that mentality, I think everything else is going to work out. So, there's your moment of yes for today. We first, not me first. Have a great day, everyone.
