In this brief motivational video, the host introduces the Tuesday, September 6 "Moment of Yes" and frames the day's theme as "internal versus external." He explains that when people feel stressed or anxious, they often turn inward, ruminating on personal problems, which can become overwhelming. Shifting attention outward—observing the world, practicing gratitude, and seeking ways to positively influence others—can relieve that pressure and provide a sense of freedom. He emphasizes that the external focus should be purposeful, not merely a distraction, and invites viewers to assess whether they need to turn inward or outward today, using the question as their personal "Moment of Yes." The talk ends with an upbeat encouragement to have an awesome day.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your Moment of Yes for Tuesday, September 6th. That's right, uh, I took yesterday off, Labor Day, from a Moment of Yes, but I'm back. So you get one Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday this week. Hopefully everyone had, uh, an eventful or peaceful, uh, Labor Day weekend. Those don't always go together, but sometimes they can. Um, and here we go. We're kind of, uh, kind of turning the page, kind of maybe moving into fall a little bit. All right, looking forward to just getting a little fall weather for the first time in lots and lots of years. So, all right, your moment of yes for today is internal versus external. Uh, just the idea of when we tend to, uh, carry a little extra stress, a little extra anxiety, it tends to be because we're thinking too much about ourselves. I don't mean that in a selfish way. I mean that in thinking about how much we have on our plate, maybe the problems that we're dealing with, some, some stuff that, uh, that is difficult. So we go internal, right? right? We go into kind of our own head, we go into our own thoughts, and it's easy to kind of get wrapped up in our own stuff. When we shift that perspective and go external, where we kind of metaphorically and sometimes literally lift our heads up and look out, and we look around us, where whether it's the other people around us or just, just the world around us, and we start to focus on that a little bit from the standpoint of Gratitude from the standpoint of how can I have a positive influence or impact on those around me, we tend to be less focused on the stuff that's holding us down, right? When we go internal, it can be overwhelming. When we go external, it can be freeing. Not the external as a distraction, but the external as a focus of our energy, of our compassion, of our patience, of our love. Right? The internal, we tend to navel-gaze. The external, we tend to go, oh wow, there's a lot going on outside of me that I can connect with and have a positive influence on. So, for you, your moment of yes for today, what do you need to do? Do you need to go internal or do you need to go external? A little bit too much internal? Go external. If you're too distracted by the external, come inward and connect with yourself. Which do you need to do today? That's your moment of yes, guys. Have an awesome, awesome day. Bye.
