In this brief motivational video, the speaker shares a personal story about a persistently leaking faucet on their back porch. Initially they managed the drip with a bucket, then a hose, but the problem kept worsening until a friend professionally repaired it by accessing the plumbing behind a wall. The speaker uses this anecdote as a metaphor for the small, recurring issues we allow to fester in our lives—whether mental, spiritual, or physical—by applying temporary fixes instead of addressing the root cause. He urges listeners to identify their own "leaky faucets," consider whether they need to take direct action or seek professional help, and to commit to a daily "moment of yes" to clean up these underlying problems as the year ends and a new one begins.

Hello, everyone! Here is your moment of yes for Wednesday, December 16th. So, uh, yesterday, um, we had a leaky faucet fixed. This was a, um, a faucet that was on our back porch that had a, uh, a, a consistent drip. So, for a while, you know, Halsey and I would put a bucket underneath it, and then, uh, the next day, we would take the bucket, and we would like water the flowers, But then the drip became more aggressive, and so we hooked up a hose to it. And so the hose would fill up over the 24-hour period, and we would take the hose and we would just open up the nozzle and it would water all of our flowers. But then the leak persisted and it got worse. And then finally, a friend of ours was doing some work in the house, and we told him about the faucet, and he's like, oh, I can take care of that. And it was a bigger job than he thought. He had to take off a panel. of the house to get in and like cut off the original, you know, nozzle and then solder it and put on a new one. It was a thing. It was a big to-do. But as I was thinking about it this morning, I just thought about how when we, when we let something sort of fester, when we let something build, even though it's small and it's not that big of a deal— putting a bucket under the faucet wasn't that big of a deal. No. Connecting a hose to it wasn't that big of a deal, but again, we were really never addressing the core issue of having to fix the problem at the root, to fix the problem at its source, and when we don't fix the problem at the source, it will continue to show up, and it will continue to show up in a bigger way, until we finally take the step that is needed, which is having a professional fix it. So, What leaky faucet are you dealing with in your life today? What choices are you making that's that perpetual leaky faucet that you just either need to get to the root yourself or you need to ask a professional? So that's your moment of yes for today. Let's clean up those leaky faucets. 'Tis the time of year to clean house mentally, spiritually, physically. physically, as we get ready for a new year. And so, let's take care of those leaky faucets. That's your moment of yes for today, everyone. Have a great day.
