Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for today. In classes this week, we're talking to the students a lot about adaptability. And as an athlete, as a performer, or even as a person, what is it about you that makes you adaptable to situations? What is it that allows you to improvise? And so when we think of adaptability, we think of improvisation, the first idea we think about is acceptance. You can't adapt or improvise unless you, unless you actually accept that what Is happening right now. The circumstances are reality. And once you actually accept those, instead of being in denial or making excuses or blaming others— if you're in that mindset, you can't move to adapting and improvising. You're still stuck in wanting things to be different. That acceptance that comes with going, okay, this is what's happening right now, how do I adapt to respond as best I can? And then the qualities that go with adaptability— you think of confidence, You think of patience, of flexibility, of being able to respond quickly, stay focused. And so when you have those qualities that go with open-mindedness to being able to adapt and be flexible, it really allows you to improvise, to adapt to any situation. But if you are stuck in not accepting that is what's going on, you're never going to be able to improvise or Adapt. The sticky part is, is kind of the mindset of what mindset do you have to be adaptable, to be able to improvise. We've talked about this before. If you have a victim mindset, you're stuck in complaining, blaming, or making excuses. That is the victim mindset. If your thought goes to victim mindset, if you go to the victor mindset, your mindset is acceptance. This is what's happening. How can I make the best of it? So, your mindset goes to one or the other. Victim, you're stuck, you're going to not make any progress. The victor mindset is total acceptance. Well, how can I make the best of this? Which is your acceptance, your adaptability, your improvisational mindset. So, as you go throughout your day today or your week, when you notice yourself coming up against a circumstance that is kind of throwing you off a little bit or not what you expected, notice your mindset. Where do you go? And then acceptance of, of this is what it is, and then moving to how can I make the best of this situation? How can I adapt? It's a mouthful today, right? That's your moment of yes. Have a wonderful day, everyone.
