When things go wrong, you can either spiral into stress or pause and choose how to respond. The speaker calls this the "moment of yes" - noticing your resistance, examining the fears underneath it, then deciding consciously what comes next. Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes. You know, this week in my classes, I've been talking and thinking a lot about adversity. How do you handle adversity when things that don't go the way that you would have liked them to? I've got a couple of friends who are dealing with adversity in big ways. And all of us on a daily basis deal with adversity, small, big, on all different levels. So So how do you deal with adversity? Do you take a victim mindset? Do you allow it to have your day spiral out of control? Or do you sit with it? Do you notice it? Do you pay attention to sort of the stress or the anxiety that pops up as a result of things not going the way that you would like them to be? And what are some of the beliefs, fears, or thoughts that you have attached to that anxiety Which is causing you to feel the way that you're feeling. So how we choose to respond to adverse situations is really kind of the determining factor in whether we tend to have happy lives or stressful lives. And so notice today as you go out through your day, your moment of yes is to notice when you feel resistance to the current moment. When something happens that you did not want or expect to happen, Which direction do you go with your thoughts and your beliefs? I think that's enough for today. Any inspiration you want to share with me? Would love to hear it. That's your moment of yes. Have a wonderful day.
