AMOY: Be Kind.

When work and life pile up, it's easy to snap at people. The speaker says step back and respond with kindness instead. It doesn't take grand gestures, just choosing not to fuel anger.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for Friday. And your moment of yes for today is pretty simple. It's be kind. Yes, be kind. Throughout the day, whether it's at work, with our family members, with strangers, people on the road, people in the grocery store, it's really easy to get so sort of focused and preoccupied with what we're doing. With our own time, with our own demands and needs, that when someone does something that is holding us back or preventing us from doing what we need to do, not to get aggravated, to get frustrated, to get snippy. And it's really easy, actually, especially with family members and the people we love, to just not be kind. And the difference that it makes when we make that decision compared to just really going throughout the day with everybody that we come into contact with, good, bad, indifferent, especially when situations get heated and frustrating, to really take a mental step back, sometimes a physical step back, and just be kind. Have our response be love. Have it be kindness. It doesn't mean we necessarily have to reach across the table and hug that person. Maybe we will. But it also means that we don't have to engage in a way that is only going to escalate the frustration or escalate the anger. Instead, we can always defuse any situation with love. We can defuse any hostile situation with kindness. And it starts in our heart and it goes to our head and then it leads to action. So be kind. That's your moment of yes for today, everyone. Have a wonderful Friday. Bye.
