A lighthouse shines on what's in the darkness without moving or judging it. Become your own lighthouse: observe your thoughts and fears without judgment, and you'll have the clarity to choose how to respond to them instead of reacting blindly.

Good morning everyone. Happy Sunday. Here's your moment of yes for today. As I was sitting here doing my listening this morning, just the idea of a lighthouse came to me. And just loving the symbolism of what a lighthouse does. You know, its only purpose is to shine light on what is out there. Not to move it, not to judge it, not to do anything except shine light and expose what is actually out there in the dark. And I just love that analogy when it comes to the practice of listening and being quiet and being reflective and noticing our thoughts and noticing our fears or noticing, being conscious of what is actually going on in our thoughts. And when we make time to reflect and to notice and to listen, all we're doing is we're being our own lighthouse to our thoughts. And so that we as the observer can just notice what is out there or what is in there and just shine light on it. Now when we shine light on it, it doesn't mean that we're actually saying it's a bad thing. It could be a quote-unquote good thing or a quote-unquote bad thing, but we're just exposing what is out there so us as the observer can actually choose to either navigate around it, to maybe remove it from our situation, Or if it's something dangerous, to really do some work on having it removed. And so I just love that idea of taking the time during your day to be your own lighthouse, to be your own beacon, to shine light on your thoughts. Because when we expose them, we can see them and we can work with them. And it's not that dark thing that we're going to run into. So be the lighthouse. That's your moment of yes for today. Have a great day.
