AMOY: Bee Beep Beep!

A speaker in St. Louis uses the TSA metal detector's beep as a metaphor for emotional triggers like anxiety and stress. When you notice your internal beep, pause and ask what fear or belief is underneath it. Feel the emotion, offer it peace and love, then let it go.

Good morning, everyone. Happy Saturday. Here's your moment of yes for today. I'm actually back in St. Louis for another inspiring weekend. A little colder. The shorts and flip-flops that I got off the plane with was not appropriate for the 34-degree weather. So, but it's good to be back in the Midwest. Beautiful fall foliage. Say that 5 times fast. Fall foliage. Fall foliage. Try it. There you go. So I'm a big analogy guy. I love stories. I love analogies. And going through the airport and security, you know, you go through TSA and they'll take you aside and they've got the wand and the beep beep beep beep beep. If you got anything metal on, that's exactly what it sounds like, by the way. If you have any metal on, it, you know, beep beep beep beep beep beep, it goes off. And so it got me thinking this morning as I was doing my listening, looking out on the beautiful Mississippi here. That think about, think about what for you, what is your beep beep beep beep? What what sets you off? What are your hot spots? What what are the people that as as you get closer to them, just kind of like a sensor, you feel sort of that whether that's anxiety or stress or that high emotional reaction to it. What what are the people? What are the situations? Does traffic do that to you? What are the topics? Is politics— what are the things that whenever you're around it, you feel that inner beep beep beep sensor go off? And so think about what some of those might be right now. And if you can't think of those things, just be conscious of it today. Be conscious of the beep beep beep. And when you sense yourself responding or reacting to someone or something in that way, just notice it. And instead of keeping your focus on them, bring your focus inward and just ask yourself, why am I feeling this? What is this connected to? What fear? What belief? What is that attached to? And just see if you can feel it, if you can connect it, and just then let yourself just feel that sense of peace and love and surrender. You know, surrendering to grace. But but the noticing is is really the big deal when we feel that inner beep beep beep beep beep beep coming up. So that's your moment of yes for today. Feel the beep beep beep beep beep. Notice it. Sit with it. Love yourself and let it go. That's your moment of yes for today, everyone. Have a great day.
