AMOY: Bliss is Genius!

The speaker flips "ignorance is bliss" to "bliss is genius." True bliss isn't avoiding the world's doubts and fears, but knowing them and choosing your authentic purpose anyway. It's a daily act of intelligence and agency.

Good morning, everyone. Happy Saturday. Here is your moment of yes for today. So the idea that came to me this morning is we've all grown up knowing the idea ignorance is bliss, right? The idea that if you just don't know any better and you just kind of go and do what you want to do, if you don't know any better, well then, like, not knowing is the bliss. And Which I totally agree with, is when you don't kind of know any better, you don't know the limitations, the fears, the beliefs that others might have, that that in itself is bliss because you just— it's not a part of your existence, which I totally get. But for those of us who, when you are exposed to the beliefs that are out there, when you are exposed to the fears that are out there, once we have that, I think a lot of us believe that, well, I can't experience my bliss anymore because I now know better. And once you know better, well, you can't experience your bliss. I disagree with that. And I think that is the choice all of us are striving to make. And I'm going to go as far to say that if ignorance is bliss, bliss is genius. And bliss is a choice. And knowing what your zone looks like and knowing what your yes looks like and your authenticity and your purpose looks like, knowing what that looks like Even though you know better about what the world or what other people, what their beliefs or fears are, and you choosing to be and to live and to strive for your bliss, well, isn't that the most genius and intelligent thing of all? Choosing to live a life, choosing to spend each day, choosing to spend each moment doing the things that you love, being the person that you desire to be, and then how does that make you feel as a result, and how does that impact everyone around you? That is genius. That's intelligence. That is choosing, because we do have a choice. If you have a choice, then choose what makes you happy. Choose what makes your bliss. And that ability to choose, that authority to choose, And understanding that it is your choice, well, that's the genius in all of this. Your genius is bliss. Your bliss is genius. It doesn't have to be ignorant. And that's your moment of yes for today, everyone. Have a great day. Have a great day.
