AMOY: Don't Mirror

Stop mirroring how people treat you. Choose your response based on your values, not their behavior, or you'll end up directionless and helpless. Also: don't film looking into the sun, despite what photographers say.

Good morning everyone. Here's your moment of yes for today. You know, I heard from a photographer once that it's really good to shoot when the subject is directly looking directly into the sun. Is that correct? No. No, that's not the correct advice. Okay. Alright, so your moment of yes for today is think about it. Think about how you treat people, how you respond to people. Is it if someone's nice to you, you're nice back? If they are loving to you, you love them back? If they're mean to you, you're mean back? A lot of times, a lot of us get caught in sort of Mirroring how people treat us and that's how we treat them back. So your moment of yes for today is don't be a mirror. All right, you have the choice to choose how you are going to respond to people in every situation, totally unconditionally to how they show up or how life shows up. A little easier said than done, but think about it. If you only ever went around just giving back what people give to you, all right, you're basically just going through life sort of aimlessly or helplessly. You're just— if someone's nice, you're nice back. If they're mean, you're mean back. All right, if they don't respect you, you don't respect them back. Don't be a mirror. Make a choice for yourself that irregardless of how someone treats you or how something goes, in your core, in your yes, in your purpose, you respond to every situation from that standpoint, not based on how others or life is treating you. All right, that gives you a sense of direction. It gives you a sense of how to respond irregardless. of what's going on outside of yourself. So today, 2 things: don't be a mirror and don't look directly into the sun when you're filming something. 2 moments of yes for the price of one. Have a great day, everyone. Thank you.
