A speaker watched surfers in Florida and used waves as a metaphor for seizing the moment. He tells the story of Trinity, who turned her back to a wave, got knocked down, and learned that ignoring what's in front of you has consequences. Opportunities pass like waves.

Good morning everyone. Here is your moment of yes for today. Now yesterday we went to the beach and it was a beautiful day and the waves were actually amazing. And for us Floridians over here, these were definitely some California-style waves. They were coming in in sets. There was a ton of surfers out there. And so it was just fun to see a great surfing day, to see all the surfers out there doing their thing. I was watching safely from the beach. I am a Michigander who has not been a converted surfer yet. But so just watching the waves and it just reminded me of a lot of the things I've been talking about this week at work and things like that about sort of embracing the present moment and not sort of turning your back on the present moment. And you watch these surfers and if the wave were to represent The present moment. Instead of trying to fight it, you go with it, you ride it, you accept it, and it can be a beautiful thing. It can be a lot of fun too when you accept the present moment and go with it instead of against it. The reality is, is the wave is happening, so what are you gonna do with it? Now Trinity was out playing with the waves, the ones on shore, and she turned her back for a second and got flattened, totally flipped, spit out. She was okay, and it just made me think about what happens when we turn our back on the present moment. If the waves are coming, they're gonna come. Would you rather ride them and make the best of them? And actually, sometimes you see that it's a pretty awesome thing, or turn your back on it and get walloped anyway. And so the cool thing about riding the wave is The wave doesn't go on forever. Even the biggest waves crash, you ride it out, and it turns into calm, smooth water. So that's your moment of yes for today, everyone. Have a wonderful day. Thank you.
