Jump outside your comfort zone on purpose. The bigger you push past what feels safe, the harder it is to fall back on old habits, so you make fresher choices. Try it: get physical, get big, get weird, and watch how you think differently.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your Moment of Yes for today. I am back home for the weekend, enjoying being with the family and being out here in my normal recording spot. So the Moment of Yes for today, there's an exercise that we do in improvisation where, where you're encouraged to actually be as big and physical and out outside of your comfort zone as possible. That's obviously a scary thing for people to do. The tendency is to keep it safe, which allows us to feel more connected to who we are usually. But the paradox is the bigger, the more outside of our comfort zone that we, that we go, the easier it is for us to suspend our old beliefs and respond to the situation in a new and creative way. And the reason for that is because we are so outside of our normal realm of thinking, it's more difficult for us to respond with our usual beliefs and thoughts. And so from an improvisation standpoint, the bigger you get outside of your character, the more interesting and the easier it is for you to make interesting choices. Now that's no different in life, and the more we push ourselves out of our comfort zone, the more The more we challenge ourselves to really, instead of stepping over that line of discomfort, to hop over that line of discomfort, we will start to be thinking and responding from a totally different and new and open mindset because we're not so closely connected to how we usually respond. And I know that might not be described the best even in this video. But so today, try to really stretch and put yourself— push yourself outside of your normal comfort zone and see how you're able to respond. Have a great day, everyone. That's your moment of yes.
