AMOY: Nik Wallenda

Nik Wallenda walked a tightrope untethered across the Grand Canyon in brutal wind. The speaker saw two things: Wallenda kept moving forward no matter what, and he prayed the whole way instead of pretending he wasn't scared. That's how you walk through your own hard things.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your Moment of Yes for today. I apologize for the sun shining right in my eyes. But it's that time of day. It's early morning and I've got to do the Moment of Yes. So, so here we go. Last night, I got a chance to watch the, the Nik Wallenda special. He walked across the Grand Canyon on a tightrope, which was pretty amazing. He had no tether. Obviously, there's no net or anything. And so just a pretty amazing thing to watch. I actually had to turn the channel a few times because I was, I was too nervous. And so I needed to kind of catch a breath. And my palms were sweaty just watching him do it. And it was actually pretty remarkable, just between the wind and all the elements and the length That he had to walk about a quarter mile. It was just pretty inspiring. And 2 things that stood out to me. One, it kind of reminded me of actually of the moment of yes a few days ago about keep walking, about keep moving forward. There were a few times during, it was so windy and the line from him walking was getting so bouncy that he had to pause, crouch to get the line to settle down again. But he kept moving forward the whole time. Obviously, he kept walking. And even through the tough conditions and the rough conditions and the wind and all the different elements, he kept moving forward. The second thing I was most impressed with was how it was obviously he prayed every step of the way. He was sort of in a deep, prayerful, meditative sort of focus that every step you could tell every difficulty, every challenge that was coming up, he was reversing it through prayer. He was talking to God. He was talking to Jesus. And he was just confronting every— he wasn't ignoring it, saying, hey God, there's no wind up here. He was talking to the confrontation. He was talking to the fear every step of the way, but he kept moving forward. And despite the hard elements, he just kept talking about it. He kept addressing it, and he kept taking it to love. He kept taking it to God the entire time. I thought that was so cool to watch, just to see him audibly work through that entire process, and we got to sort of Sit there and and and witness it as well. So super inspiring. Congrat congratulations to him, his whole family, and someone who's just living his yes in a big and crazy way. So that's your moment of yes for today, everyone. Have a great day.
