A workshop on dropping the act and showing up as yourself. The speaker walks through a "moment of yes" exercise that asks where you pretend to be someone else depending on who's around, and what stops you from just being real.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for today. How are we doing? I am in lovely Grafton, Illinois for a wonderful weekend workshop retreat. So happy to be here but still taking time for the moment of yes. It's not an option. So the moment for today is the idea that came to me is how are you pretending? Meaning Do you find yourself playing different characters, different roles based on the situation? Or do you find yourself showing up and being fully authentically present in every situation? Authenticity versus make-believe versus playing a character versus pretending. How are you showing up? Do you feel that you're able to, to be your true self that's not circumstantial? So your moment of yes for today is, is to think about that. To think about, are there certain situations where you play a character of yourself or you adapt to the situation to fit in? Or are you comfortable enough with yourself to bring your full, genuine, spiritual, authentic self to every situation? So think about that today. I know there's plenty of situations where my authenticity feels in question. And so it's worth thinking about, it's worth looking at. And if you do feel yourself not being able to show up in a situation authentically, ask yourself why. What's getting in the way of you being able to trust yourself and, and rely on that true soul and spirit that makes you who you are? So that's your moment of yes for today, everyone. Have a wonderful day.
