In this short YouTube segment, host Speaker A interviews his 8‑year‑old son, Holland Thomas, about a paper‑and‑tape model of the Ewok village from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Holland explains that he becomes fully absorbed when his mind “goes in” to an activity, describing the joy of creating something tangible from simple materials. He notes that the project took two days and that he believes he can accomplish anything if he believes in himself. The conversation also touches on Holland’s desire to balance multiple interests—Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Super Mario—by giving each attention. The host wraps up by linking Holland’s enthusiasm to the broader theme of “your yes,” encouraging viewers to identify and act on their own passions.

So this is what he's been working on for the last few days. This is his Star Wars creation. All right, so he's been working on this. This is from the Ewok village in Return of the Jedi. And as we keep going, those are some of the— from planet Hoth. Here's some Ewok village and their treehouse coming around here. It keeps going, it keeps going. And here is Holland Thomas, the creator of this. Holland, why do you like creating this so much?
Because when my mind goes in, I find something I like to do, and then my mind goes right into the activity, and I keep on doing it. And then I was like, this is really fun, and I just love creating. creating stuff. It's just I'm passionate about that. So yeah, I love creating stuff, and this took 2 days, I think. Yeah, I did. I worked on this all morning because I was really passionate about it, and I know I could do anything if I just believe I could do it.
Okay, what is it about this that you really enjoy doing?
I like it Because it's just cool that you can create stuff and it's just like a big surprise out of paper and tape. I made it all out of paper and tape.
So why Star Wars?
Well, I keep on liking other things. I need to get like balance, but I'm working on that, so.
You said you need to get balance?
Yeah.
Why? Because you spend so much time on it?
Well, I start liking Indiana Jones, Mario, and those things, and I just need to like all of them at the same time, and I'm trying to help myself do that. So yeah.
So that you're not just focusing on one thing at once? Yeah. Okay, well, that's okay to do at times. All right, so do you have more work to do on this?
Yeah, I had to make more More Ewoks.
Make more Ewoks?
Yeah, and it's really cool making them because they're just like brown little bears. Yeah. And you just add like a red hat on them and then you're good to go.
Alright, well thanks for talking, bud.
You're welcome.
So our yes can show up in any kind of way, be it Ewok village, Star Wars, Mario Brothers, Or whatever else you're working on. So that's your moment of yes for today, everyone. What are you passionate about? Start it today. Have a great day, everyone. Thank you.
