In this short motivational monologue, the speaker opens with a humorous personal anecdote about his rapidly growing nose and ear hair, describing it as an uncontrollable, offensive problem that requires regular trimming. He uses this vivid image as a metaphor to introduce his "moment of yes" – a call for listeners to pause and reflect on the tasks, responsibilities, or personal habits they have been neglecting. He asks the audience to consider why they ignore these duties, what fears or obstacles stand in their way, and encourages them to take a small, concrete step—just as he will trim his hair—to begin addressing the ignored issue. The talk blends humor, self‑reflection, and actionable advice, urging listeners to identify and act on the small maintenance tasks that can prevent larger problems from spiraling out of control.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for today. I don't know what it is about this weekend except the fact that I'm giving you way too much information that you really want to know. Yesterday, you found out that I got kicked in the nuggets by Holland and the inspiration that that brought. Today, let's talk about nose hair and ear hair. Yes, for some reason, I was born— actually, I wasn't born with it, but now sort of later, In my life, I've been blessed with a plethora of hair follicles everywhere. Obviously, this hair is not going anywhere anytime soon, and for some reason, the nose hairs coming in in bushels. And the crazy thing, ear hair. Ear hair on the outside and the inside. What's going on with that? It's, it's almost as if Hollister is spiking my drinks with Rogaine. I'm not sure what's going on. So the moment of yes for today is every few weeks Unless I trim the nose hair and the ear hair, it's out of control. It gets out of control. And if I forget, then I'm like, ugh, man, it's offensive. Quite honestly, it's offensive. So it got me thinking like when I go longer than needed, it makes things tougher. It makes things tougher to kind of keep it in line. So your moment of yes for today is what are you ignoring? What— whether it's a little task, whether it's some hygiene, something that you know that you need to do on a continuous basis but you're ignoring. It might be a project that you're working on. It might be something that you know you ultimately need to do. It might be something with one of your kids, something around the house. But what about those things in your life that you're ignoring, that you know that you need to do but you're ignoring them? Why are you ignoring them? What's getting in the way? What obstacles, what fears are getting in the way of you addressing— And doing those things that you know you need to do to take care of yourself. So take a moment today, stop, reflect, and if you ask yourself the question, what am I ignoring? And then be open to that, what comes to the surface? And then are you willing to address it? Even just a baby step today, are you willing to address that thing that you're ignoring? So that's your moment of yes for today, everyone. Notice what you're ignoring. I've got to get back and trim some hair. Have a great day.
