In this brief motivational talk, the speaker introduces a "moment of yes" concept, urging listeners to reframe current difficulties as opportunities for learning rather than waiting for hindsight. Drawing on a personal anecdote about a friend who chose to focus on lessons amid hardship, the speaker highlights how many of life's biggest breakthroughs stem from confronting tough experiences. The core message encourages practicing gratitude in the moment of struggle, asking oneself "What am I learning?" instead of "Why is this happening?" This shift transforms challenges into valuable growth situations. The speaker invites the audience to try this mindset, acknowledges it’s not a perfected formula, and ends with a warm wish for a wonderful Thursday.

Good morning everyone. Here is your moment of yes for today. I was talking to someone yesterday and they were sharing a difficult experience that they were going through. And kind of the different challenges that came up and how it's been tough. And through all of it, she said, but you know what? I know I'm learning something from this. And so I'm trying to focus on that. How many of us have been there? We look back and we notice, oh, some of the biggest lessons, some of the biggest progress that we've made in our life is because some of the biggest challenges we've had to go through. Now, we don't always appreciate them at the time, but in retrospect, by looking back, we go, wow, that was such a valuable lesson for me to learn, and maybe I wouldn't be here or have the success that I have had I not learned that lesson then. So, what would it look like if we approached every moment with that mindset? So every time we, we are going through the challenge or struggling with something, instead of waiting until we overcome it to reflect back and be grateful, what if we were grateful for it right now? And instead of asking, why is this happening? We ask ourselves, what am I learning? Or what do I need to learn from this situation? So it no longer becomes a bad situation. It just becomes an awesome learning situation. Let me know how you do with this. By no means do I have this figured out, but it sure makes sense when I talk about it. So have a wonderful, wonderful Thursday, everyone. That's your moment of yes. And since I know this video always freezes my last face, I'm going to make sure I end with a good face.
