In this short motivational monologue, the speaker recounts driving through a Florida field and seeing a cow that sticks its head through a barbed‑wire fence to reach fresh green grass on the other side. He uses the image as an analogy: to obtain the best opportunities—growth, success, peace—we must “stick our neck out,” even though doing so may cause occasional pricks or discomfort. Each prick, he argues, is a reminder that we are extending ourselves and pursuing a better life. He concludes by urging listeners to treat today as a “moment of yes,” encouraging them to keep reaching for better ideas and accepting the small pains that come with growth.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your moment of yes for today. So I was driving home yesterday across the state of Florida. A lot of farmland, a lot of swampland. And I drove past a field where there was a cow, a field of cows, and they were all eating, you know, grass. And it was really kind of a dusty field. And there was one cow that I drove past and his head, he was at the fence and his head was sticking Through the fence, through the barbed wire fence, and he was eating some of the fresh green grass on the other side of the fence. Now the only thing he could stretch out there to get the grass is his head, and he was having to stick his head through, you know, a space in the fence of barbed wire. My first reaction was, man, be careful. If he moves his head up or down in any kind of way, He's going to stick himself with the barbed wire. But I also thought, and I also appreciated the analogy of how to really get the good stuff, to get beyond what, what we've had, to get the really fresh green grass that seems outside of our reach, we sometimes have to stick our neck out, literally and figuratively. We've got to stick it out knowing that That as we pursue growth, as we pursue greatness, as we pursue success, as we pursue peace, that in doing so, by sticking our neck out, that sometimes it is an uncomfortable space and sometimes we do get pricked in the process. But each prick is just a reminder that we are actually putting ourselves out there, that we're extending ourselves, that we're growing, that we're actually reaching for a better life and better things. And sometimes in the process, we get a little pinch or a prick to remind us just where we are. So your moment of yes for today is keep sticking your neck out there, keep reaching, keep striving for the better ideas, the better life, and recognizing that sometimes when we do get that prick, it's just a reminder that we are stretching ourselves, and that's okay. That's your moment of yes for today, everyone. Have a wonderful day. Thank you.
