Trust means letting people be themselves, make mistakes, and share ideas without judgment. When you nitpick, judge, or fail to support others, you undermine it. The fix: back people even when you disagree, and use the improvisational principle of "yes-and" to build genuine connection.

Good morning, everyone. Happy Saturday. Here is your moment of yes for today. I look forward to seeing some of you, South Florida, at our show tonight at eight o'clock. Tickets still available. Yeah, that's right. Okay, so your moment of yes for today is why don't they trust you? So I've been doing a lot of classes, a lot of talks recently on how to build team dynamics, how to build really good relationships, whether it's team, personal relationships, organizational or whatnot. And so at the foundation of great relationships is clearly trust. So ask yourself, why don't they trust you? And I— you might be going, well, they do, they do trust me, they have every reason to trust me. So I want you to go deeper and think of a relationship, think of a team, think of something where There feels like there is a lack of trust, and especially in a personal relationship where there feels like a lack of trust. And I don't mean trust as far as you are not going to protect them. Trust as far as you allowing them to be authentic, to be themselves, and to be okay with it. So you might ask yourself, for someone who is around you, do they feel like they can make mistakes? And not feel beaten up or judged? Do they feel like they can just be themselves without being continually commented on? Do they feel like they can share ideas without everything being nitpicked? So that's what I mean by trust. Obviously, there's the deeper issues of trust of do they feel safe physically, emotionally, but beyond that, do they feel safe and trusted to, to know that you have their back? Even if you don't agree with them, you have their back. You're going to yes-and them. You're going to yes-and their ideas. You're going to yes-and their authenticity. That's what I mean. So take a look at that, especially if you have a relationship that just feels like it's a little bit off-kilter. What is it? How might you be showing up that they might not be trusting you? Yeah. That's your moment of yes for today. Have a great day, everyone.
