In this 2018 holiday fundraising video, the speaker outlines a community-driven initiative to assemble and distribute holiday gift bags to people experiencing homelessness in Palm Beach County. The project builds on the previous year’s effort, which raised nearly $2,000 and produced about 60 gift bags filled with practical items, toiletries, blankets, pillows, and small treats. The goal for 2018 is to create as many bags as possible, using 100% of donated funds to purchase supplies, and deliver them through a partnership with The Lord's Place—a shelter that houses up to 300 residents while serving up to 1,500 chronically homeless individuals on the streets. The speaker urges local residents to contribute any amount, highlights the placement of donation boxes across Palm Beach and Martin Counties, and provides a suggested supply list. The appeal emphasizes that even modest donations can help restore dignity and humanity to homeless individuals during the holiday season.

Hello everyone, welcome to Holiday Hope for the Homeless 2018. Our goal with this project, like last year, the first time that we did this, is to create as many holiday gift bags as possible and deliver them to as many homeless people in Palm Beach County currently living on the streets. Last year we raised nearly $2,000, which allowed us to create about 60 gift bags. Filled with practical supplies, blankets, pillows, toiletries, as well as some gifts in there that were for food and just to show appreciation and kindness. The inspiration for this project was to find a way beyond just charity to allow people who are currently living on the streets to feel seen and to feel loved and to feel That yes, even in their current state, they have the humanity to receive a gift. That's what this is all about. And so we're doing it again this year with the help of a few local sponsors and all of you. We're asking for any donation from you. We are going to take 100% of all the donations and then go out and buy as many supplies as possible, put those together in gift bags, and deliver them to the Lord's Place in Palm Beach County. The Lord's Place facility is an amazing facility who takes care of the homeless in Palm Beach County. At any one time, they have 300 people living in any of their dormitories who are cycling out of homelessness, but at any one time, there may be 1,500 people living on the streets who are chronically homeless. These are the people that we want to reach one-on-one this holiday season, and with your help, with your small donation, we can make it happen. So thank you so much. For those of you who are local, we are going to have some donation boxes set up in different places all over Palm Beach County and Martin County. Every little donation helps. We will include a list of supplies that are helpful, but if you can do even the simplest thing, a few dollars, $5, whatever donation they can make. Last year was special. We were able to create about 60 bags, raise about $2,000, and bring a little humanity To the homeless this holiday season. Thanks so much.
