RAK Friday 2018

Speakers A and B promote Rack Friday 2018, a grassroots movement turning Black Friday into a day of random acts of kindness. The goal is 2,018 kind acts shared on social media with #RackFriday18. Ideas include leaving notes on windshields, buying coffee for strangers, and paying for the car behind you.

Thanksgiving 2018 is almost here, which means the day after Thanksgiving is Black Friday.
But for the last 6 years, we've been doing something else.
Instead of getting sucked into the commercial madness the day after a holiday all about gratitude, we decided to start a movement inspired by random acts of kindness, thus transforming Black Friday into Rack Friday.
And you can help!
On Friday, November 23rd, Rack Friday, commit as many random acts of kindness as possible and then post Post them on social media using the hashtag #RackFriday18. I just picked up some trash. You can also post and follow along on our Facebook page by using the URL rackfriday.com. You can have that spot, sir. That wasn't that kind. And this year we're encouraging you to create a Rack Friday team to further magnify the kindness. Instead of feeling self-conscious about all the racks you've performed, This year, it's all about the team. Wasn't that kind. And of course, it's not about the prizes, but the team who posts the most racks might win some swag. If only we knew someone looking for a shameless plug. So don't be a lame-ass and use an excuse like, I couldn't think of any ideas, so I didn't do anything. Pfft, please. Here's some ideas for ya. Leave a kindness note on a car windshield. Buy someone a cup of coffee. Leave a gift for your neighbor. Surprise a teacher, police officer, or someone at the fire department.
Leave quarters for strangers at the laundromat.
Surprise a neighbor by doing a chore. And my personal favorite, buying the order for the car behind you in the drive-through window. Sorry, Trin, no college for you. So are you with us for Rack Friday 18? Our goal is to have 2,018 random acts of kindness committed and then shared and posted on social media using the hashtag #RackFriday18. #TrackFriday18. And when you do post, make sure you mention your team name. And if you do happen to be lazy, selfish, and apathetic, the least you can do is at least post this and share this on your social media. Seriously, it's the least you can do. Do a stranger's taxes. Pick up a neighbor's dog poo. Tell a teenager they look dope and lit. Oh God, Dad.
Oh my God. Oh my gosh.
Love you, Juju.
