Practice the "Yes, And" challenge this week by blessing people who frustrate you instead of reacting with anger. The speaker shares how long flights from Florida to California taught him to shift irritation into deliberate goodwill, a technique from Pierre Pradervan's book The Gentle Art of Blessing that works especially well during the stressful holiday season.

Hello everyone, here is your Yes and Challenge for the week of December 6th out in LA. You probably know that from The Moment of Yes. And my good friend Evan Griffith recently recommended the book The Gentle Art of Blessing by Pierre Pradervan. And this is a book that's been on my bookshelf for years, it's been recommended to me for years, but I haven't read it. And I'm like, oh yeah, I know that's supposed to be a good book. So, you know, again, when a good friend says you need to read this book. I take it, throw it on the flight with me, and I began reading it. And, and in essence, The Gentle Art of Blessing is about our ability to basically send our blessings, to send our, our love, our intention, to wrap up someone mentally, or to wrap up the person right in front of us mentally, sending that intention of blessing, genuine, genuine love and care and blessing. Even to someone who we're really struggling with in the moment, right? So we're shifting, projecting anger and frustration to that person, and just forcing ourselves to, man, I'm just gonna send them— I'm gonna send them love. I'm just gonna hold them in love. I'm gonna send them in love. And as we go through our day, what the opportunity to do that, right? Traveling from Florida to California, those 2 flights, there were lots of opportunities for me to hold judgment, to be annoyed, to be frustrated with people, with the situation. So I tried to challenge myself to just quickly shift and project that love and that blessing out. It really is transformational when we can catch ourselves doing it. So your challenge this week is to do just that. Obviously, I highly recommend the reading of the book, but also when you notice yourself getting frustrated, especially, you know, it's kind of the holidays now, when you notice yourself getting frustrated, Can you catch it and instead connect back with your heart, with your purpose, with your love, and project that out to anyone or anything that is causing that frustration? Yeah, that's your challenge for this week. Let me know how it goes, everybody. Have an awesome week.
