In this short monologue, Travis introduces the weekly "Yes, And" challenge for the week of December 14th, focusing on managing the heightened stress of the holiday season. He describes how the combination of family obligations, work projects, and holiday expenses can create mental overload. To counter this, Travis shares his personal experiment: a 10‑minute daily yoga/stretch routine that began as a 10‑day commitment using Educare’s 100‑day commitment bracelets (inspired by Sandy Wilder). After completing the initial 10 days while at USMNT camp, he extended the practice to a 100‑day minimum, pledging to restart at day 1 if a day is missed. He reports noticeable physical and mental benefits after just 12 days. The weekly "Yes, And" challenge he issues to viewers is to commit to a 7‑day practice of any activity lasting 10 minutes or less that addresses their current stressors, and to share their experiences.

Good morning, everyone. Travis here. This is your Yes, And Challenge for the week of December 14th. That's right. So, no matter what you celebrate, this is kind of the big holiday season. Things are kind of ramping up here over the next week, week and a half. And it can be busy. It can be hectic. It can be stressful. There can be a lot of elements that you're dealing with from family, family coming to town, family leaving town. Projects being done, expenses of the holidays, of yada yada yada yada. There's, there's, there's plenty to, to raise your stress level or just to, to give you a lot mentally on your mind. And so what is, what is a remedy? What is a tactic that we can do, that we can have to, to counter what, what most of us kind of experience this time of year? So Here we go. So what I started doing 12 days ago, just because I had been noticing just physically, you know, not being— just being tighter in my limbs, my legs, my, you know, and I've always considered myself somewhat flexible, you know, not a total yogi, but somewhat flexible. But, you know, the intimidation of taking full-on yoga classes has been too much. But I decided like, okay, I'm gonna go back to an old, an old friend, which is these bracelets here from, from Educare, Sandy Wilder, the 100-day commitment bracelets. And I'm like, all right, I'm gonna do— I'm gonna commit to 10 minutes, 10 minutes of yoga a day for the next 10 days. That's it, 10 minutes a day. So I started that while I was in USMNT camp about 2 weeks ago. I did, I did it all 10 days. I've been out for a couple days now. I'm 12 days in. I'm like, you know what, let's go ahead and do this. Let's do the 100-day challenge. We'll do— I'm gonna do at least 10 minutes of yoga every day for 100 days. And if I miss a day, I go back to day 1. And I can obviously do more than 10 minutes, but it's a minimum of 10 minutes. And so just in the short amount of time, 12 days, I've felt better as far as, you know, just that, that constant consistent stretching over less than a 2-week period has made me feel better physically. And so it's making me feel better, therefore do more of it, right? Do it, commit to it. And again, it's not a huge life-changing shift. It's 10 minutes a day. So your Yes, And challenge for the week is 7-day commitment for this week. What is something you can do for 10 minutes or less a day that is going to help you specifically with what is going on in your life right now? Yeah, that's your Yes and Challenge for the week. Let me know what you do. I'd love to hear it. Have a great week, everybody.
