A speaker challenges you to find beauty in messy, uncomfortable moments. He describes a drive through construction-filled highways in Colorado where distant mountains still took his breath away, and asks you to do the same this week: notice something beautiful even when conditions are gray, cold, or hard.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your Yes and Challenge for the week of March 8th. That's right, March 8th? Yeah, I think so. So your Yes and Challenge for the week of March 8th. Hollister and I were in Colorado, specifically the Denver-Boulder area for the weekend. And I gave a talk right outside of Denver. And after the talk, we decided to go to the Garden of the Gods. which is like Colorado Springs. And so it's just really, you know, it's like this drive, you know, we obviously went through Denver and then just taking highway out to Colorado Springs. And in the distance, you know, you just have the mountains, the huge, beautiful mountains in the distance. Even though that the highway that you're driving on is under construction, it's, you know, it's like, it's just not pretty. Right? Aesthetically, it's not pretty. Yet in the distance, you've got this juxtaposition of just this breathtaking beauty in the distance. And Hollister being Hollister just keeps getting like, oh my gosh, it's so beautiful. It's so beautiful. It's so beautiful. While our friend who is driving keeps laughing because she's driving and only able to look at the road, which is construction, industrial, not beautiful. And so I thought, wow, what a perfect illustration Of the opportunity that we have on a day-to-day basis. And your opportunity for the week, for every day this week, for the week of March 8th, is to ask yourself if you can find the beauty even in the mess. Can you find the beauty in a situation that currently feels ugly? Metaphorically and even literally. You know, where you are physically right now, can you find the beauty of the environment that you're in, even if it's, say, cold, gray, slushy, windy? Can you still find the beauty in that situation? And can you find the beauty in the struggle of a situation that you're going through right now that doesn't feel great, it doesn't feel comfortable, but through it you can still see and feel that there is beauty, that there is healing going on? So there you have it. That is your Yes and Challenge for the week. Would love some feedback from you guys. If there's anything that, that comes to mind that you're dealing with, where you're able to see through just the immediacy of the unappealing view in order to find that beauty. Have a great week, everybody.
