Yes, And Challenge: Week of October 5th

This week's challenge asks you to notice what triggers you, process it consciously, then respond with "yes, and" instead of resistance. The speaker ties it to recent life stress: an anniversary and car troubles. Each day, identify one trigger, how you handled it, and what "yes, and" response you tried.

Good morning, everyone. Here is your Yes, And challenge for the week, for the week of October 5th. Again, October 5th, not a day or a week that will be tough to forget since it is Hollister and I's anniversary today. David Lee Roth is playing Jump in the background, not the actual David Lee Roth but the recording. Yeah. Hollister and I just were able to go and spend one night with each other for our anniversary. So we're getting ready to head home. And so I wanted to get the weekly challenge out. And so the weekly challenge is based on a little bit— if you watched the Moment of Yes for today, it was all about being kind to yourself and self-care. And this one similarly is built off of that. Again, in the Monday, I talked about the car problems that I had over the weekend. And dealing with myself. And then even this morning, I actually just got off the phone with the car dealer, and fingers crossed that the warranty covers it. But, you know, if not, looking at a couple thousand dollars in repairs if the warranty doesn't cover it. And so just stuff, right? And just stuff. And, you know, there was, you know, there's been— there's stuff that pops up every day. And I think that the challenge for this week is about When we notice the stuff that pops up, the triggers that, um, that pop up in our day, whether it's, it's something that happens to us financially or physically, uh, or something that pops up in our news stream, um, what do we do with it? Right? How do we, how do we, uh, sit with it? How do we handle it? How do we process it? Um, but more importantly, how do we say yes and to it and move through it? And so my challenge to everyone this week is is to be conscious and to bring awareness to the triggers that show up on a day-to-day basis. The easy one for me today is this car stuff and the finances that go with it. Over the last previous days, there were other triggers. Just noticing what I do with them, how I process them within my thoughts, but then how quickly I move into collaboration with them. Instead of being in resistance of what is, it's being in collaboration with it. That's the yes and. How quickly can we say yes and to what is happening and then make sure that my response feels peaceful and purposeful and effective? At the end of the day, I want to be effective, right? I want to add value, but to bring that sense of purpose and peace to my response so that it's effective. So every day— So your challenge for this week is During every day, something's going to trigger you. Did you notice it? What was the trigger? How did you process it? And how did you say yes and to it? So there you have it, guys. That's your yes and challenge for this week. Have a great week, everyone. Bye.
