Gift cards are one of the simplest ways to bring in cash today and win a whole new customer tomorrow. On Perdium, customers can buy, send, and redeem digital gift cards right inside your app. Here's how it works. Perdium offers digital gift cards backed by Square's eGift card system that customers purchase, send, and redeem through your mobile app. And customers can also redeem physical Square gift cards the plastic ones issued at your POS, right in the app. When someone buys a gift card, Square creates and loads it. The recipient is notified with the card number, then redeems it from the dedicated gift card tab in your app. Once it's redeemed, the balance converts to store credit, ready to spend at checkout. So why do gift cards matter? First, immediate cash flow. You're paid upfront, before the product is ever delivered. Second, they bring in new customers—recipients who might not have tried you yet. Go to Settings, App Features, Discounts, and toggle on 3 things: Gift Cards, to enable buying and gifting; Redeem Gift Card, to let customers convert a card to store credit. And Gift Card Payment, to allow that balance as a payment method at checkout. 2. Head to the Gift Cards section of your dashboard to set your defaults. Add up to 3 preset amounts for quick purchase, upload a custom gift card design, and refresh it seasonally whenever you like. 3. Once you save, the Gift Card tab appears in your mobile app as its own bottom tab destination, where customers can buy, send, and redeem. Here's how it reaches your customers. In the mobile app, gift card is a dedicated bottom tab, so customers never have to hunt for it under account. Buy, send, and redeem, all in one place. On the web ordering site, gift cards flow through the standard account section, and after redemption, the balance shows up as store credit Applied at checkout, just like any other payment method.
