In this vlog Vicky Samios shares a day‑in‑the‑life of her family’s fitness routine while on holiday at the beach. She documents a joint morning workout with her partner Peter and their children, featuring sand‑based sit‑ups, leg‑ups, pelvic work and plans for an evening 100‑sit‑up/leg‑up session. After exercising she prepares a dairy‑free, low‑carb, high‑protein breakfast—primarily eggs and vegetables—while emphasizing protein intake for the kids. Vicky details her supplement regimen, including electrolytes, BCAAs, iron pills, and references advice from her naturopath and clinical nutritionist. She explains her medical background of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, low iron, and an upcoming endocrinologist visit, noting how these conditions shape her diet and training. The vlog also outlines her structured eating schedule (first meal at 1 PM with half a cup of rice or sweet potato, later protein‑rich meals) and her long‑term goal of relocating near the beach to make daily runs a norm. Throughout, the tone is motivational, reflective, and family‑focused, highlighting the shift from a “mum body” mindset to a stronger, healthier lifestyle.

Day 4, the whole family's involved today. They're right in front of me. I got to keep going. Peter's here exercising together. There he is. Let's go. The kids all joined in. It was a family affair this morning, and they thought I was leaving them behind, running away. I went down to the beach, the kids followed me. They had to keep up. Super fun getting it done. I'm cooking brekkie for my children, having my electrolytes. I'll show you guys where we've come up. We've just done the cardio session. We're having this, the BCAA Boost, um, electrolytes and BCAAs in here, all in here. And my kids, yeah, they joined us for the exercise. And now cooking them eggs. They want to have 3 eggs each, and I said you've got to eat all the white proteins and the white, um, to grow really strong. And yep, getting rid of this. I've got my, my body out so I can remember why I'm doing all this. You feel healthy to feel well. And for me, this is a life-changing moment because I had gotten really complacent with my mum body. I thought, oh, The mum body, yeah, like it's— I've had 3 kids, it's okay to be unfit. And then I started thinking, wow, my body's starting to look more and more aged, um, and I don't want to get the hump. I want to be really strong. So I've just done some sit-ups, leg-ups, and some pelvic work, uh, out there on the sand. You probably will see the video somewhere here, uh, and now just getting the kids in order so I can go have a shower. And this is life, this is life. Like, we're on holidays right now, but what this means is that we're setting ourselves up with really good memories. And I'm setting myself up with anchoring to the beach because we don't live near the beach right now. We will at some point in the future, that is the goal. I want to be running on the beach every day and that'll be my normal. So this is just a holiday, uh, and we're not, we're not giving up. Peter and I are so determined. Like, at night last night We were doing exercise while the kids were in bed. Let's do 100 sit-ups, 100 leg-ups. That's going to happen tonight as well. I've got to hit the gym. Um, I've got all my Pilates gear and things, and I'm just going to work my muscle and strength, and I've got weights and do all that. Cooking some breakfast, not for me or Peter. We are dairy-free. We are on a very strict protein and no carbs. What else are we doing? Um, and in the mornings we have— mornings being 1 PM, that's our first meal— we have half a cup of rice or half a cup of sweet potato. Um, sometimes I'll throw in lettuce if I feel like I need crunch or something, or celery, because I know that's very good for you and gives you lots of minerals as well. And then about 4 to 5 o'clock we have Another meal protein. So if we have red protein, because I know I'm really low in iron, I've got iron supplements, I've got everything from my naturopath and clinical nutritionist. Seeing the endocrinologist very soon, hopefully they bump us up. I really want to go ASAP. So I've got my Hashimoto's, I've got Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and I want to make sure that I'm not throwing anything off. So I have not been to an endocrinologist in a long time, probably before my kids when I was doing IVF. That's when I went to the endocrinologist. Um, so yeah, I don't want to burn this food for the kids. They're going to be utterly disappointed. And they actually want 3 eggs each. I'm gonna go with 2 eggs because they don't always eat it all. And I'm like, guys, you need to eat. Um, you need to eat what I put on the plate with, with the eggs. So I— but I never force my kids. If they're full, fine. Um, as long as they're happy, they've eaten enough. You know how it is with kids, sometimes they eat more in one day or slump time during the day, and it depends on the child as well. And then eat less. Like, my kids determine what they eat, but they've all asked for 3 eggs. I'm going to go with 2, 2 first. Let's go, and then I'll jump in the shower. I can't wait to go have a shower. It's really cool.
