When my kids arrived, everything changed. I didn't take maternity leave with any of my kids. Guilty. I was breastfeeding, pumping, and eating lunch all in 20 minutes. And through the years, I gained weight, I became more and more exhausted, I couldn't even lift my kids, I had back pain. I didn't even know who I was anymore on the outside of business, and I didn't even know that was wrong. That's the crazy thing. And that's how deep in it I was. When my kids came, something started started to automatically change. I started seeing what I was actually modeling for them, and I was losing my patience with them, with Peter, because I wasn't happy with myself. And I actually resented my choices. The life that I had once prayed for, I had. And all the hard work I put in, my degrees and my business startups, I had. And I just knew I couldn't go on and continue being that type of mum. I wanted nature, peace, quiet. For me, it took me a good 4 or 5 years of mindset work to get there. I learned new skills, and that wasn't enough. Working on mind is not enough. You need to do the physical work as well, because I was still unfulfilled on the inside. Now, you don't have to wait for a health scare to change. I had a health scare too. I just want you to know, no matter what you're in, you're never stuck. There's a knowing inside of you that you have where you are battling this thing inside that you're wondering, well, I have this other calling, or I have a voice inside me telling me something better, but then you're too scared to actually go for that something better. I'm here to scare that voice away, the one that tells you you can't do this and you put too much effort and time into this, and who has said to you that you are not enough, and this self-doubt voice that needs to go. I kind of call them like the angel and the devil. You want the angel's voice there, and they kind of sit on your shoulder, and that's how I imagine them. And I always tell the devil one, I go, "Hey, that's not happening." And I listen in to the voice, the cheerleader, the one that wants me to succeed. So if you're a mum and you're someone who's highly driven like me, but maybe too scared, maybe you think I'm too old, or how How can I really fix things in my life? Well, just know that I have, and I want to help you. So if you are ready, I want you to comment "ready," and I want to give something to you that I know will absolutely help you. I'm Vicky Samios, and I'm a mom. I'm a woman just like you, and I'm someone who has shifted my career 3 times. I love what I do, and I've found the way out of that self-doubt that creeps in, and those external voices as well that don't believe in you. Trust me, I have so many stories to tell you.
