The Breakthrough That Changed Dr MJ’s Life

Dr. MJ attended Vicky Samios's Full Life Movement Uluru Immersion program and learned that practice growth depends on hiring, staff retention, and patient relationships, not just clinical skill. The program taught that a dentist's own health and mindset directly affect patient care, and gave practical tools for networking and mentorship.

Before joining Full Life Movement and attending the Uluru immersion, I didn't really consider dentistry as a— in a broader sense. Walking away today, I have clarity about what is expected from a successful associate. But also from the business and the business owner point of view to best service our patients and ensure that the business is successful and growing with the best quality care that we can offer. And the importance of also having a, a big focus on our own personal health as well. Which will transpire in our practice to better treat our patients. Coming into the Uluru Emotion and being part of Full Love Movement, knowing Vicky and working with her for a little while now, I expected great things and it really delivered. It's been really eye-opening, um, for me, um, to learn from her and the way she looks at, um, running a practice, hiring people, um, being an associate and servicing the patient and, um, also the non-clinical aspect of dentistry or of a healthcare profession, and it is truly a full life movement. I'm walking away with a broader aspect of dentistry, both in terms of an associate point of view the business itself and the business owner's point of view, the patient we are servicing point of view, and that dentistry is much more than just clinical skills. We work really closely with our staff, our patient, and how relationships within the team and the people we hire for specific tasks affect the business. So it's been really eye-opening to consider all these aspects, and I'm ready to now implement them into my own practice. Coming into the Uluru immersion, I chose to keep an open mind in terms of my expectation, um, because I, I really focused on learning and growing, and I wanted to make the best of it. So being so open-minded, I walk away today looking at dentistry, health profession, or simply a business with a lot more growth and focus and clarity for the future. What I would recommend to anyone else is to really be curious about why things do not working the best in their practice. For example, why are we hiring people and not able to retain them long term? Why are we not able to get ideal case acceptance and also retain our patients? To consider other aspects of really how a business runs. And to think about it from a people-focused point of view. What's changed for me after the Uluru immersion with Full Life Movement is a completely different perception of thinking as an associate, a focus on the business itself, the importance of working closely with the business owners and the staff to better service our patients. I also walk away refreshed and my cup is full, so I can now, you know, be my best self and contribute the best I can to the growth of my current workplace. Being part of the Uluru Immersion and working closely with Vicky Samios in the full app program has also helped me outside of work, dentistry, and has really Given me a lot of tools of how to have better relationships with people in general, the importance of networking, being around the right people to better grow as a clinician and just as a person as well. So I walk away with lots more than just clinical focus. Um, and non-clinical focus tools in my bag. I also walk away with knowing that wellness is extremely important for us both in the workplace and in life in general. So I thank Vicky for that, and I have full trust in her. She's been amazing. And a really great mentor, and we, we all need one, or mentors in general in life. So yeah, it was great.
